I was wondering if there might be an interest in starting a group of prospective single cruisers seeking "cruise mates" to share double occupancy rates. I love cruising but unfortunately my husband's schedule sometimes does not allow us to vacation together. I would enjoy hearing from female cruisers interested in sharing cabins in future cruises with same, based on mutual interests and similar age. Thank you.

Welcome to LCT - where in California are you? I'm in the LA (Northwest) area.

Once in a while we plan a gathering, which we're due for sometime this fall. It's a great way to meet some of us and decide if there is someone you might want to ask. We do have a few LCT'ers who might want a travel mate.

I thought that this should have a heading somewhere on the board, suggested it to Karen and Ngaire.
I am sure there are many who would like to share for whatever reason.

I know that I am going to get very tired of taking the step daughters on cruises very soon

I appreciate the idea but as many things can go wrong with people sharing cabins who do not know each other I just feel that we cannot sponsor a match making thread like this. There could be a dregree of liability involved if it is a special thread and it appears we are recommending people.

Of course people are welcome to post just as Luv2Cruz did. Meeting behind the boards via email and arranging to meet in person first are excellent suggestions.

Hello ChatKat and Karen. I love Radisson/Regent cruises. My last cruise was to Tahiti to celebrate by 50th last year. My husband and I had a wonderful time! I have cruised on other lines, but nothing beats taking a smaller vessel. I am in Ventura County ChatKat and would love to attend your fall get-together. I do believe that there is a need for something like this.(although perhaps not sponsored by any particular agency)There are some cruise lines that will try to match you up with a roomie. When the box comes up(before the webpage) the username is girls and the password is funcruising - then click for your computer to remember it. Make sure they are all lower case letters and no spaces.
I hope this is alright. I don't want to get in trouble with anyone. JUGS is a great asset for all women wishing to cruise travel. The group has members, married, single, divorced, widowed, mothers and daughters etc. which offers great commradship and security.

Claudia, I was able to fill out and submit the form and received the confirmation email, but when I click the link to confirm back I just get a blank page.
