I know I am using the wrong travel agent, but nevertheless, I'll know better the next cruise I book, I had called my T.A. a couple of weeks ago to ask her if the segments on the Voyager World Cruise were all-inclusive, she didn't know the answer, but when I booked the cruise she is the one who told me it was all-inclusive, today I talked to her and she said she received an e-mail from Radisson that the all-inclusive was only for those who were on the total world cruise, so, does anyone know any different than this? I know there are several on this board who are on only segements, I was really glad to finally be going on a Radisson cruise , that felt more like a Seabourn ..........I know it's a petty thing with everything thats going on in the world today, but it really upsets me when I've been told one thing, and then told something else....Sorry :( :(

Sandy, I am only on one leg, and I think it is all-inclusive, at least that is my understanding. What is leading you to believe it it different? Just your TA? If so, maybe you need to switch!

Sandy, When we were on the Mariner last year (Lima-Buenos Aires), Radisson had a group sort of like the World Cruise (I forget what it was called). They were circum-navigating South America (Ft. Lauderdale to Ft. Lauderdale). They had all-inclusive - but the passengers on the various segments did not. With all the cocktail parties, receptions, bottles in room, it wasn't necessary anyway. We probably bought drinks in the lounges one or two times during our 21 day voyage and our onboard credits covered that. I figured that they deserved the all-inclusive considering the price they paid for their cruise vs they price we paid for one segment. I hope this won't put a damper on your anticipation of the cruise. Once you are there, you'll be having such a good time you won't care!

It won't put a damper on our cruise, it's just the fact that we were led to beleive that every segment was all-inclusive, and then to have my T.A. tell us she received an e-mail that it was only if you were on the full world cruise, we were on a segment of the Navigator W.C., I don't think any of it was all-inclusive, we are not big drinkers, however I was really glad to find a cruise that we didn't have to sign for a drink in the bars....I have looked a the brochure and it isn't very clear , all it says, Complimentary Beverages, Wines and Liquors....in all the bars and restrauants, select liqors, wines and non-alcoholic beverages are served complimentary throughout your cruise. Kind of double talk, Yes, pretty sure we'll be changing T.A.

Sandy, I'm under the impression that it is all inclusive regardless of how many segments you're doing. In fact even Colleen posted that now on the pre-cruise they've made it all inclusive for everyone! I'm sure Ngaire will set us straight. I sure hope your TA is wrong!! (hey, I can recommend an excellent TA for ya!!

News to me. I did not receive any such email. To my knowledge it is all inclusive for full world cruisers and segment guests. This is what I have
Other Inclusions Complimentary liquor package Alcohol beverages (except premium brands) included throughout the ship for full world cruisers and segment guests Complimentary shore events for all guests on each segment
I have not heard anything has changed but I will find out tomorrow.
Dont be too hard on your TA Sandracruiser there is always a lot of misinformation and confusion with cruise lines - all of them. Perhaps the person she asked gave her bad information. I honestly dont know how TA's handle all the lines and keep up with all the changes and details on all the ships. I couldnt do it either.

O.K. I think I've got some understanding now, I don't think my travel agent understood what I was asking her(miscommunication)she thought I meant a bar set-up, I still don't understand what she meant by that, I was asking her all along if there was an open bar.....Her e-mail was there is no bar set-up , but there is an open bar... That simple, maybe I was making too much out of it, whatever, I think we're o.k. now....Sorry to have taken up so much on this thread, but, at least I can go on this cruise now, knowing that I won't have to sign for a cocktail in one of the lounges... Thanks to everyone for all their help. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL

Sandy, glad you found an answer. And, that it's the one you wanted! All-inclusive is nice...one of the reasons we liked Song of Flower. Sure do miss her. Have a great time on your cruise.

Sounds like no bar in cabins, though. I would talk to F&B Mgr about getting any bottles you need. If answer is no, call room service three times a day for drinks that first week of sea days. Then ask the F&B Mgr again. If that still doesn't work, order lunch and dinner in your room a few times. At least you can pick up a nice collection of bottled wine for your cabin.

I'm with you, Donna. Besides her wonderful small size, the all-inclusiveness of the Song of Flower was a big plus. I wish Radisson would build another smaller ship similar to her, but with all balconies on this one. The smaller cabins didn't bother me, though the bathrooms was tiny.
Long may she live in our memories, Beth

In one of my many replies from Mark Conroy regarding my never-ending quest to convince Radisson to become all inclusive, he responded that all segments of the '05 world cruise would be all inclusive. I was a bit surprised to learn that the "pre cruise segment" was not, but it is my continuing understanding that the world cruise itself, and all its segments, are all inclusive.
Thanks, Richard :) :) :)

Richard, Colleen and Paul are currently on the World pre-cruise. Colleen has been posting here and reports that it has now been changed to all inclusive liquor...(they changed it about 1/2 way...must have had complaints from the full world cruisers like Paul).

I got my docs today for my leg, and because there was nothing in the docs about bar set-up, e-mailed my TA for this cruise. He answered back that there is always a bar set-up (in room). So sandracruiser and I are getting different answers. Not a big deal, since I can purchase a bottle in the shop for the room for "getting dressed for dinner" cocktail!

My husband and I were on the earlier South America circumnavigation (we were home by December 3?). As far as either of us recall, we didn't have an "open bar." Nonetheless, I doubt, with the various receptions and special parties for the circumnavigators, that we ever had the need to buy a mixed drink at the any of the bars. As I recall, a friend of ours did sign for beers (at all hours of the day). That's just our recollection. M.

I had done so much looking into the website for this cruise that somehow the docs arrival was a bit anti-climatic! I have already booked my excursions on line! Will mention, however, that the case is different from the normal tan pleather ones. This one is black canvas, with a black pleather slot on the front (I guess to put boarding passes in) embossed with "Seven Seas Voyager World Cruise." Very handsome. I will, of course, switch everything over to my time-worn leather case that I bought years ago in Italy. It is smaller, thinner, and does the job and snaps shut unlike this one. SO excited about getting on a ship soon, in-room bar set-up or not!

Calista Flockhart - The actress who played Ally McBeal. Yes, that is the baby who danced on the show (in her imagination).
Calista is also the name of our dear and precious 2 year old granddaughter!
Congratulations, Olivia, on receiving your docs. Hope you enjoy the dance and the cruise!

According to Mark Conroy it would be necessary to raise the cruise rates to pay for the open bar and therefore it would not be fair to have the non-drinkers subsidize the drinkers. Makes sense to me. What we want is the caviar back!

McKeever, then us non-caviar eaters would be subsidizing you! There is age old debate about who doesn't go entertainment that we are all paying for. Those who don't and drink want all inclusive! World Cruise, however, is definitely open bar, whomever subsidizes whom! I'm happy with the current policy, but I could embrace a new one, as long as it does not cause a decrease in passengers and a great increase in the price of the cruise. Whatever works from a business standpoint is fine with me. Just wonder why Silversea is sending out huge discounts to entice new cruisers. By the way, I really like Silversea, having cruised only once. But their pricing policy has me baffled.

The current policy and practices sound like the best of all worlds to me. But I have to admit that I would be a MAJOR proponent of bringing the free caviar back!!
Btw, I know this is a little off topic, but...went to buy some caviar before New Years (having forgotten to order some online), and the CHEAPEST price I could find for Sevruga was $65 an oz! Rediculous -- I can order online for half that. So, no caviar for me this NYE. Oh well!

Years ago, we were eating at Emeril's in New Orleans, and they served a domestic caviar that was as good as any I've ever had. I have bought it at a grocery store there, but don't remember what kind of fish it came from. I do remember that it was incredibly inexpensive. Mark doesn't eat caviar anymore, so I don't buy it to have here.

we had domestic caviar this new years. two of them were delicious. we were debating which of the three kinds we preferred.
but i still insist the lumpfish caviar doesn't count as caviar. but the other two were wonderful.
