Just wondered if anyone has experience on the shared balcony suites on Silver Whisper and how they compare with the regular veranda suites. Thanks, Maxine

Actually if you take a regular balcony and take down the petitions you have the shared balcony area. It is not private of course because it is shared so I would compare it to having an open deck outside your door. It is a nice value to have that area though. You can still pop out there and take pictures and test the temperature in the morning. I would definitely select one of these cabins rather than a vista if it was available.

Are all the balconies on Silverseas ships like this?

No there is just one small area on the ship like this. The price is the same as a vista or window cabin it is just you get this added bonus.

Yeah I am interested in a table myself. I think these type of suites are a bargain because they are priced as Vistas and they have a balcony. I just wonder how useful the balcony is (like with chairs and table it seems they would be more useful).

Including picture so you can see the suites 537-521 which these are those shared balcony suites.

I'd be interested too, in the seating/table availability on this balcony. Possible to eat breakfast there??

Just think, we could get a LC group together and book the whole row of cabins! That way, we already would know who we were disturbing and I could sit out side in my flannel shirt pajamas :)

I know it has been posted before that there are no chairs and no tables; I just can't find the spot. Hopefully, Linda will stop by with the definitive answer.

Would like to try Silversea sometime. Will only be on an itinerary I can't do on Radisson.

Are the regular, non-shared balconies true balconies (like with the Diamond) or the fake ones with partitions (like on every other ship)?

I just got the 2005 fleet schedule in the mail yesterday. Even though I am not planning to go back to the Caribbean anytime soon, they had an interesting FLL to Curacao itinerary on the Whisper in December for $2406. It's such a bargain, I will keep it in mind.

Well, we can book all of these cabins and start moving chairs from the pool deck! Yikes, would they throw us off before we leave our embarkation port?

Margo,
I see on Todd's deck plan that we wouldn't have to drag them too far!

Like marc, I know it has been posted somewhere that there is no furniture out there. I'm assuming that if they have them on the Whisper, they also to on the Shadow? If so, I can check it out in March!

I know this is and old post, but I just found it. My wife and I are on the Silver Whisper this week in one of those shared balconies, cabin #529. Found out that the reason there are no chairs, tables, partitions, etc. is that this is the escape route to two of the lifeboats.

We plan on bringing our chairs and table in and out of our room. Our fare was $900 less that the lowest fare for the lowest price Verandah Suites!!!

Olivia what did you find out? Did people drag their chairs out from their rooms???
