Marc, if you happen to go online while on the Navigator would you like to try an internet experiment? I have 6 hours left of paid for internet time and if you email me at canadagal2005@hotmail.com I will send you the password and code. I don't see why it would not work for you. The code has nothing to do with my shipboard account so perhaps you can get some internet time using my password. I'm sure, eventually the time would probably be wiped out off the computer but why not give it a shot as it has only been a week since I was onboard.

SUCCESS!

Currently using Pat's account. ;)

Pat, do you want me to check to see if account is permanent so you could use in future or should we just run it down?

Sailaway was great! :D

Having a great time so far; however, just one token. :(

Marc...hope the charges are not based on number of posts - somehow you got a homerun out of the first one.

Have a great voyage. We all look forward to hearing from you.

Margo, the account is based on minutes. You get to see that little clock in the corner ticking away counting down your time. Marc, please find out and ask someone in the know if it can be saved for the future. I would like to know that and I'm sure others would too but please feel free to use my minutes and run them down. They are all yours so empty the account. I have no future plans for the Navigator so you may as well makes use of the minutes.

Marc,

I'm showing my ignorance here, but what are the tokens all about? I obviously missed something when we were onboard. What do you use tokens for?

Hope you're having a great time - you should be enjoying Hamilton right about now, if my clock is right. :)

Thanks,

Kathy

Kathleen, tokens are chips they pass out to winners of trivia and the daily quiz, etc. You can turn them in for various RSSC souveniers. Marc is smart, so he wins a lot of them! I have been carrying a couple of them around in my duffle for a couple of years now.

Pat, minutes are good for 378 days (according to Tib, I think he might have meant one year) but do not cross ships. If you are not going to be back on Navigator, I will use up your time and also pass info to Kathy.

We need to keep track of our computer accounts and pass on info to subsequent travellers as Pat did. Also, if you are going to return to same ship, buying extra computer time is a way to use up credits on one cruise for use on future cruise.

Just went up for shuffleboard. No one showed so I collected the tokens. There is Baggo this afternoon. That is played on pool deck instead of sports deck so I know there will be more competition. Strange that we have more events on port day than sea day.

Kathy, you can get bookmarks, coffee mugs, napkin rings, jewelry case, tote bag, duffle bags, and passport covers with tokens. We have one tote and three duffle bags so far. Now we just collect tokens for when they have better/newer prizes. I believe it is 43,560 tokens to get the Ferrari. So far, we have 48 (having spent and given away around 40).

Bermuda is beautiful today. We will be off on sunset cruise this evening.

More later

Wow - I'm going to start paying better attention. I love buying ship souvenirs. Free is even better.

Thanks for filling me in. I'll keep my eyes open when we hit Diamond.

Enjoy your sunset cruise!

I just came off the Sunset Cruise with Marc and Arlene and Mary Ann (Arlene's Mother). Arlene's mother took a fall on the catamaran are we are waiting to hear from them. They did take her to the Doctor to make sure she is okay. Please send your good wishes to them.

We've been having a great time although that was pretty scary.

They are lovely people and it makes us more excited about PIP.

Hi Marc,
Enjoying your reports! Since you're familiar with the computer room now, do all the computers have USB ports and the ability to write to a CD for storage of digital photos?
Thanks so much for your help!

Hi all,
Everything is pretty much ok. We got to take an excursion we hadn't planned on... The ambulance to the Hospital! Mom is very shaken up :nw: at her age) and only a torn rotator cuff. We doped her up with codeine, and she is sleeping for the moment at least. Numerous bruises all over, but those will heal as well. Now if any one has questions in the future regarding how the ship insurance plan (we all buy) works, Marc will know all about that (in the next few days) as well. The plan now is to continue with the cruise, but we'll know more in the morning.

More later, Arlene

Glad to hear that mom didn't break anything. But a torn rotator cuff is pretty painful as well ... hope that the rest of the cruise is less eventful. Best wishes to her!

What an awful experience for you all. Glad to hear no broken bones. I hope she'll feel well enough that you can continue your trip.

Hang in there,

My thoughts and prayers also go to Arlene's mother. She will need lots of TLC (but I expect that she already gets that from the two of you). As Masaki said, a torn rotator cuff can be quite a painful injury. (My husband is currently getting physical therapy for tendonitis in his shoulder. We were relieved when the MRI showed no tear.) If she can be kept comfortable on the ship that may be just the rest she needs prior to travel back home. I hope that it all works out well for the three of you.

Arlene - sure hope your Mom is doing better - Wow, that is scary. I have a 92 year old Father, and he does extremely well, but I worry about that sort of stuff all the time. Please give her my good wishes, and I'll hope things go well and she recovers quickly.

Arlene, so sorry about your mom's accident. It's scary to be away from home and have a fall. It's happened to my in-laws twice while on cruises. I'm sure she is glad to have you and Marc taking care of her. Here are my good wishes for a speedy recovery.

Good News!

Mom in law is feelling pretty good cheer ). We skipped virtuoso excursion today and will skip the other catamaran we had scheduled for tomorrow (no more small boats). However, looking forward to Williamsburg tour. Doctor already filled the Rx for pain pills :lct:

Oh dear I was so sorry to hear about the accident but I am relieved to hear that MOM is doing much better today. Marc, have many excursions been cancelled on your sailing? We had a few cancelled on ours. Can you explain what Baggo is? I have other ships that I want to try so yes, go ahead and use all of my computer time and if there is any left pass on the info to someone else to use. I have no plans on returning to the Navigator within the next year. I loved the ship but there are others I want to try like the Diamond or if I get my wish to go back to Tahiti.

Marc, so glad she's feeling better!

Pat, Baggo is a tossing game played with bean bags. You try to get them through the holes on wooden contraptions from about 10-12 fee away. It is one of those games that makes me feel foolish every time I try it.

Yikes! Baggo sounds like something I would make a fool of myself trying -- BUT now that I know what it is I'll probably try it on the Voyager this summer if it's offered. Sounds like I might have to rely on something else to get tokens, however.

Won Baggo and shuffleboard by default yesterday when no one showed up. Today at Baggo, I won against one of the dancers. Another couple showed up to play, they played against each other and then I played winner. Two tokens. We all decided just to take the tokens instead of actually playing ping pong.

Golf chipping into the hot tub is this afternoon. I am heading up to the golf net to practice to see whether I will make a fool of myself out on the pool deck.

We still don't have trivia teammates and it is almost impossible to win with just the two of us. We will try again this afternoon.

Somewhat disappointed that we are not having a picnic on deck like previous Kat's reported.

We really like layout of Navigator. The F/G cabins are so centrally located; especially useful here in Bermuda where it is easy to get on and off the ship. We closed down Navigator lounge Thursday night and Stars lounge last night....firsts for Arlene and I.

more later,

Marc and Arlene, I'm glad that your Mom is doing better and hope it hasn't dampened her first attempt at cruising or your experience on this one. Doug and I are thinking of you both. It was great spending time with you and we are seriously considering doing the Asia trip in October 2005 with you both.

Marc ~ Sounds like you're all having a terrific time...and so glad Mom is ok!

Getting back to computer questions....how do you access your email? I seem to remember that you can set up an email address
like "Marc@Navigator.RSSC.com" or something like that.

Keep collecting those tokens! :app:
