Hey fellow LCT'ers,
Wanted to send a quick message before we set sail, we are on the Mariner, it's like being home and a lot of crew happy to see us (some on vacation, unfortunately e.g. Laurens Hazlebach) but she's as fantastic as ever.
I'm not sure how often I will post but I definitely wanted to let Marc know that Barry H. is on board, he just came back so more than likely he's doing the Grand Circle as cruise director.
Cheers all and thanks again for the Bon Voyage. I promise you all a trip reprot when I get back.
Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends ~~M. Angelou~~

Please ask Barry for me if he is scheduled to do the South American cruise. I have a hard time finding these things out and many want to know an answer to that question. Also tell Barry hello for me I have not seen him for ages!!! Hope he does the Grand Asia then I will see him hopefully Singapore to Sydney.

We just got off the Sapphire Princess on 9/4(parents 50th anniversary trip), and I hope you have better weather than we did. It was cool, damp and rained off and on once we got up to Alaska from Seattle. We did the inside passage. At least with sailing at the end of the season the shops do have 50 percent off sales. Only had time to shop in Skagway. cheers, Jan
