Jim, not sure about the Captain on the Navigator--is it Felice Patruno until 10/28 and then Ubaldo Armellino ?? Felice is one of our favorites, but wouldn't mind meeting the new guy. I also understood that Daniel Green will rotate (at least temporarily) as Captain of the Navigator beginning in November.

GM Michael and his wife Stephanie (former Miss CA) are just wonderful and Ray Solaire is soooo talented. One of the best shows we've ever seen on any cruise.

So excited and can't believe we leave early tomorrow.

Felice filled in when John McNeil left and before Ubaldo could get there. 10/28 sounds about right for his contract.

And based on the new news, I assume Daniel Green will take over from Ubaldo.

Also, I think that Michael got off in NY (he boarded June 29th)

Hmmm, I think Michael will still be on board; he is my beer purveyor. ;)

Um what happened to Captain McNeil?

Captain John McNeil is on the Voyager now.

I have a major crush on Capt. McNeil. He's so nice and awfully easy on the eyes.

Captain Ubaldo Armellini was on the Navigator when we sailed on her in January this year. He is a very nice chap - IF you speak to him in Italian. His English was not all that great, and I think he was shy about using it... But that was January. By now maybe he is more fluent than I am!!

Felice Patruno, on the other hand, speaks super English and is also very very nice - and has a lovely daughter who joined us for a few days in the Med. last year.

Daniel Green is wonderful. And I am SO glad he was promoted.

For those about to sail on the Navigator, Carlo Gunetti is to take over as General Manager on October 20 and stay until December 22 when the Navigator completes a round trip cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Manaus, Brazil. Carlo is an outstanding General manager...Oops,I just heard that he went aboard today in Halifax....

Jamie Logan is the CD . . he boarded for the November 28 Amazon trip. I have no idea what his timing - or Michael's is.

Anyone have any recent Navigator staff updates? I am wondering who will be on for FUN3 :)

Hi Karen and all the FUN3ers,

We board the Navigator one week from today, and will attempt to report on the staff, ship's condition, etc while onboard. Supposedly we're getting double nights, so should be Silver once we board...meaning I can post to my heart's content! And I promise...I'll leave at least a bottle or two of Captain Morgan for you all!!!

Does anyone know whether there will be any changes as of the May 1st Alaska season inaugural cruise? This is just before the drydock--I had heard that a different CD would be onboard, preparing for the refit, but can't remember the name(sorry, it was Franck, who is GM, not CD.)

Oh, how about the head waiters? Is Franco perhaps aboard?

Vireya, I think this group has been very happy, if you have read their reports. Everyone has a different experience.

Olivia is right, we found the food outstanding and the service was as good as the old Radisson days!

Franck has taken over as GM as of today.

Don't know who's coming on after the refit in Vancouver, but Franco Lampis and Stefano are both now on leave, gratefully back with their families.

Everyone's favourite Galileo's wait-person, Navin, was going to be staying, wielding a paint brush for the refit period.

I think if I had to paint, I would want to do it with Navin as he would make it fun!!!
