Is there any validity to the rumor that Seabourne is willing to transfer all Regent perks to passengers booking on Seabourne?

Wow! I have 139 nights on Regent. With 140 nights on Seabourn you get a free cruise. If they transfer the nights, that it is a great deal!

I, too, would like to know if the rumour is true. :)

This not based on first hand knowledge, but I remember reading something on a message board about a past cruise on any of the lines owned by Carnival (like Seabourn is) will get you a small "past passenger" discount or something of the sort on their other lines. Again, not sure of the particulars. At the time though, I thought, "Oh, that would be good. I took a Carnival cruise years ago!"

I would love to go on a free cruise on the new Seabourn ship based on my nights with Regent. That's about as sure a thing as proverbial pigs flying, though!

NO, I'm not thinking of free cruises but the perks like free internet, laundry, phone time, etc.

To the best of our knowledge they do offer past passenger discounts when available if you have sailed on any Carnival related line such as Cunard, Princess, etc. however, they do not honor any sort of perks to Regent society members

Well that explains Princess and why we are Elite. Frank was on Cunard, Home Lines and Royal Viking as well as Princess before Regent spolied us and has maybe 100 days there so guess that's why we are Elite. We get free internet and priority boarding/disembarkation and I forget what else.

We are in the same position with Princess as all our cruising on P&O counts ,so we get all the Elite perks. A Mini Suite or above,plus all the freebies certainly makes Princess very tempting for us.

So, what does Gold on Regent get you with Oceania and/or NCL?

Nothing -- according to the announcements I have read.

At this time there is no sharing of benefits within the Prestige Holding Group cruise portfolio.

To my knowledge, there is no sharing of benefits for the brands under CCL Corp, only the ability to obtain past passenger discounts. At the time that Princess was owned by P&O, those were interchangeable, and when Princess bought Sitmar, those benefits did transfer. But if you've for instance sailed on Cunard, or HAL, those benefits do not transfer over when sailing on Princess.
To my knowledge, although I could be wrong, Home Lines and Royal Viking were never part of CC Corp.
Also, if one person in a cabin is of a higher level than the other, the person with the lower level does not automatically get bumped up. I for instance am Elite with Princess and I get the black card, but Frank is only Platinum so he gets the platinum card. Now someone sailing in a cabin with say an Elite member, would get to take advantage of most benefits, such as early boarding, laundry,etc, and probably be included in any "special invitations" that might result - but the internet benefit for instance would not apply unless both parties were using the same account, which Frank and I don't, we both set up our own accounts, so unless there is a platinum internet benefit, he would not get that, but I would get the Elite benefit for internet.
The same holds true with Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Azamara, the benefits on one do not apply to the other, with the exception of getting the past passenger booking discount.

I called Seabourn and asked this very question, but unfortunately the answer is 'NO'. Passengers who have sailed on Seabourn, Cunard, Costa, Carnival, Holland-American, Windstar or Princess are afforded 'past passenger' discounts, which add about 10% to other available discounts.

To make sure, I asked the question several ways. They don't even give credit for the days spent sailing on other ships of "The World's Leading Cruise Lines"! The woman I spoke with quoted me a rate of $0.50 per minute for Internet access and implied it applied to everyone, although she did say you could get lower rates for buying minutes in packets.

TOO BAD! Barry Hopkins is Cruise Director on the new Odyssey, and we always enjoyed sailing with him.

Thank you all. This was a rumor circulating here and was exciting curiosity. We LOVE Regent but depending on itinerary the possibility of traveling on Seabourn with our perks might have made us use them both from time to time.
