JoAnn--we visit Virginia often--our son is currently stationed in Norfolk at the Navy Shipyard. But more importantly, we have a 1 yr old grandson who lives there! How close is Oakton to Norfolk? We'll be visiting him in June to babysit while his parents go cruising. (My son enjoys trips on cruise ships much more than the ones he's done on a submarine --can't imagine why :)

Peggy - we are about 3 to 3 1/2 hours north of Norfolk, we are near Fairfax VA, we go thru Norfolk on our way to the Outer Banks. We've sailed out of Norfolk and couple of years ago on the Maasdam.

Joann, Thanks but Nov. and Dec. are not an option for me to cruise. Too many family obligations and prep time for the holidays. Sounds wonderful tho!
