I just noticed (yes, I'm reading the literature over and over) that it says Carita Spa onboard, but still says Judith Jackson toiletries in the bathrooms. I love the JJ stuff, but I'd think they would have run out a long time ago; our Voyager cruise last year was their last week.

On the Diamond in August we had Aveda lotion, shampoo and conditioner and Judith Jackson bath gel.

Our Navigator cruise in June had Aveda products in the bathroom.

Well, I like Aveda, too. So far, so good.

Aveda was also the brand on the September Navigator cruise.

As of last week on the Navigator it was ALL Aveda. One bottle of each for the full week - 8 ounce size, although if you run low and you ask, you can have more. I really like the liquid body wash. The shampoo and conditioner make your hair too soft for me with my straight hair.

All Aveeno on the Paul Gauguin this past August-September. I did not care for the Rosemary scented shampoo but the moisturizer was fragrance free which is what I prefer. The shower gel worked great for washing swim suits and underwear in the sink.

It was all Aveda, as Kathy said, on the Navigator Sept 22 - and our room stewardess replenished ours several times thruout the cruise, but as Kathy said if you ask, I'm sure they would leave additional for you in any case. The shampoo and conditioner and body wash, were usually in the shower, and she left new ones of whatever was missing off the sink anytime one was opened (i usually had the lotion on the vanity table, and went thru that like crazy, and she always left a new bottle for me). I liked all the products, and the shampoo/conditioner worked well on my very thick, curly hair.

Yes, as has been stated above, everything on the Paul Gauguin two weeks ago was in large bottles by Aveda (which sat very well with Eva :) ), not that I know much about these things...

Cheers,

I think my husband Tom deserves the award for the most un-knowledgeable with the "bath products"
On the Voyager he called me into the bathroom swearing that he hated the soap, he couldn't even get it to lather.....

I informed him that he had to take the cellophane wrapper off! <img border="0" alt="[c]" title="" src="graemlins/c.gif" />

We'll all have to remind Tom on MINT to remove the wrapper from the bar of soap. :)

No she is telling the truth - I was there - well not in the shower but heard about it that night - as Marcie told the story Tom got in the shower reached for the soap with wrapper on began lathering - no lather - he called Marcie to tell her the soap didn't "work" we had many laughs at Tom's expense - Joanna

Just had Aveda on the Mariner except for one Judith Jackson bar soap. Jim love the look of your cosmo. Had a few of those on the Mariner also. But made sure there will be some vodka on MINT for you all.

Paul, as you have been on many cruises, have you often found the TP thing to be a bit less than you would choose at home? I do, but I'm sure RSSC offers the best product available within the limits of the ship. Like Marcie said, "it works". But I think on ships, the disposal of this paper and related ancillary products make it necessary to provide the least bulk possible to the disposal system in order not to have blockages and the attendant back-ups that can occur on ships. I tried to be delicate here, but that was a tough question, Paul!

Thanks for the reponses. I agree that the disposal system on board dictates the paper. I havent had any problems before. So won't expect any on VOYAGER. I might pack some moist towelettes for the shore excursions.

Paul: I think the moist towelettes for shore excursions is a great idea - I hadn't thought about it but it makes sense - especially with flu/etc we are all worried about - Joanna
