I do not like to post on LCT anything that is "selling" BUT in this case I am going to share a very special situation. We did send out a flyer on this today.

Originally I was just hosting Barcelona to Miami 11/08/25 on the Grandeur - standard hosted cruise

Then we had the "event" in April on the Grandeur with Chef Jeffrey Kolinger, (Unfortunately Ken and I had to cancel that trip a medical reason that is all fixed now).

Everyone loved this chef - he and his wife were mixing with guests and they both have great personalities.
Everyone loved his demonstrations and they were cooking the same dish in the kitchen and after the demonstration every one could get a small taste of the dish he cooked.
Then he cooked a private lunch for the group that was also getting rave reviews. Ken and I missed all of that.

So I came up with the idea that he could do it all again on the crossing on the Grandeur on 11/08/25. I asked Chef Kollnger and he said they would love to do that.
Then I came up with the idea of doing the Rome to Miami Cruise to extend for those who like to be on longer cruises. Now I just needed approval for all of this from Regent.

Yesterday I got Chef Kollinger approved on the 11/08/25 Crossing AND my additional cruise on the Grandeur on 10/25/25.

So happy that Ken and I will now have an opportunity to see Chef Kollinger in action and I like the combination of ports on the 10/25/25 cruise then the relaxation of the crossing

This has made my day and I am "sharing the joy".

Just signed up for the Rome to Barcelona portion. The big draw is Tunisia and Corsica, never been to either.

Helen, if you’re looking for a superior suite tomorrow, I’d grab 816 as quickly as possible. In my opinion, it’s one of the best F2 suites. Someone must’ve just canceled to make it available.

After 95 nights in a F2 on Explorer, Splendor, and Grandeur combined, we are moving to a G2 suite. There is one significant flaw, to Arlene and me, with the F2. The desk is on the same side of the curtain as the bed. I get up long before Arlene, On Mariner or Voyager or Navigator I can get up in the morning, close the curtain, open the drapes or turn on the lights, and work on my computer or sort pills or get dressed without bothering Arlene. This doesn't work on F2 as both desk and most of the drawers are by the bed.

When we were recently on Explorer we toured a side facing G2. Yes it is smaller and has only one sink, but the curtain is in the right spot. We are currently on Mariner for 83 nights in a Cat F and saw no issues with being 61 nights on Explorer in Cat G2.

Just my two sense.

Marc

Good to know Marc. We should be ok since Jerry can sleep thru earthquakes, wild fires and plumbing disasters😀

Thank you, Marc, for the update on the F2s. We booked both legs in an F2. But we are in an F2 on Grandeur in April. We'll see how it goes. But I usually get a better signal in the computer area and as long as I can close the curtain and get on the balcony and read, I should be fine or, should I say, Ted will be fine sleeping in.

Agree with Marc about the way the cabin in F2 is set up. George sleeps way later than I do. So I just have learned to get dressed in the bathroom and sneak out to the coffee connection to do my morning routine.

Grandeur is fantastic! Frank and Carla join us in Venice and then there is the gaggle in Rome. This ship is wonderful as well as the crew. Lots of crew turnover between now and Rome but I’m sure any hiccups will be short lived.

Sounds like a great cruise Marc and sounds like a super ship. Keep having a good time. It will be fun seeing Carla & Frank soon. Thanks for sharing your great cruise with the rest of us.
