We have a laminating machine in our office and laminate things all the time. So we intended to do that but when we got our second shot we were told NOT to laminate the original card.
That same card would be used for booster shots for variants if that takes place down the road. No biggie if you have already laminated they may give you a separate card. We thought about laminating a copy instead. We have them clipped to the back of our passports right now.

Yes, do not laminate. Need for additional shots. We still have our yellow cards so new cards clipped to yellow cards.

First shot yesterday, finally, up in Steamboat Springs, CO where we have a condo for skiing. Easy to get an appointment at a pharmacy - it took about 10 minutes total. Still not eligible in NM as they are still doing age 75plus and those with underlying conditions. Have to drive back up in 3 weeks - hopefully the snow will still be good.

Is anyone still waiting for their first shot. We were fortunate neither of us had any reaction to the first or second shot. I know quite a few that did have a couple of days of not feeling well after the second shot. Happy to say everyone going on the safari in June are now vaccinated.

Central Florida is really efficient in administering vaccinations and are ahead of schedule. Beginning Monday, 3-22, they will start vaccinating anyone over 40.

In Oklahoma, anyone over 16 can get one now. No restrictions and plenty available.

This article is about the time line for immunity if you are vaccinated. The BEST news for all of us going on a June safari in South Africa is the statement below [b]The Pfizer vaccine was also found to be 100 percent effective against one of the main COVID-19 variants (known as B.1.351) currently circulating widely in South Africa. https://www.healthline.com/health-n...7346acc30c60c7ca6f8c9f909afff370199c3a87

Someone will need to change the notifications menu so that we can get notifications from those that drop dead.

Randalls (Albertsons) now has 3rd dose on their site and they ask for reason for third dose (only for immunocompromised at this time).
Ralph, minor detail.

Marc - I'll be interested to hear if you have more or less side effects from this 3rd one. How did you fair with the first two?
We breezed thru the first one (Moderna), but both got pretty sick on the second (David had 105 fever, but he has adrenal insufficiency and has to take steroids).

George got his 3rd dose Tuesday. It was Moderna, first 2 were Pfizer. CVS just gave it to him--his immune system is fine, but he has a heart arrhythmia. I think that the hospital will start giving boosters to employees soon so am waiting for that.

Cindy, absolutely no side effects; arm not even sore. Great news Marc! I am a little conflicted about what to do for our third dose. I have several contributing health issues, but am not "immunocompromised", so I really should be waiting until Sept 20 under the guidelines, event though I am high risk. David, on the other hand, has adrenal insufficiency, and takes replacement steroids, but this condition is not considered "immunocompromised" according the the published criteria. I am thinking I will at least get David in - if he should get breakthrough COVID, he can develop an acute adrenal crisis.
