This was the only possible date available for us in 2015 to hold another event between my schedule and Clay's schedule. The Country Club is having a major golf tournament this weekend.

So that affected the Westin Stonebriar Hotel - it will sell out and their specials on this weekend are not as good a they were last year unfortunately. If you have points for that hotel stay I would not hesitate to get your room booked.

It also affected our dinner on Sunday night at the Stonebriar Country Club. We are limited to a room that holds 40 people, and that is a squeeze. Looks out on the golf course so that is nice. I shared with the club we were all friendly and could handle it.

We considered the Stonebriar Westin Hotel or one of the restaurants in walking distance. But the pricing for those options was higher and the meal at the Country Club was far superior. Plus the atmosphere at the Country Club is much nicer. I do apologize to those that we cannot accommodate but there was really no other viable option.

I leave on Tuesday for ZEBRA but Julie is "in charge" of the reservations so if you have any questions after I leave then check with Julie.

Booked the birthday year special! Maybe I should bring my father's id; save yet more money.

Marc, we were told it is NOT available on that weekend. Please let me know for SURE that you got that. When did you book that?

The birthday year special was available on Saturday when I was looking. However, I booked a non-refundable "hot"'rate that was less. ($133+$133 vs $229 + $59)

I am hearing others got the Birthday Rate too. THAT IS FANTASTIC NEWS - MUSIC TO MY EARS. When I called to confirm that rate it was denied. It is possible it was just not entered in the system yet and I figured it was the Golf Tournament that was making it unavailable.

That is such good news it makes a big difference to the cost for everyone.

Thanks for the heads up, Marc! I got it too, and tried several weeks ago (like Ngaire) with no success. Kim, you still got a good deal. Plus, you aren't as OLD as some of us! Cancellation available up to day before. I'm so excited to see everyone again! My last two long cruises were not BK/KLT escorted, so it's been awhile not to see many old friends, except our last one on Azamara, more on that another day.

Kim, I found the same thing; the birthday offer is really just a great deal if you are staying three nights.

Anyone getting into DFW around 1:00 on Friday? We would be up for sharing a taxi!

Yeah, many have the birthday offer now. Plus Kim has found another offer as well. This is a very nice hotel for this pricing so anyone who did not get one of those two offers call back. They will allow you to switch offers.

I am so delighted it is nice to see everyone getting a good deal on the hotel. That is how it was last time too!

We got the birthday rate yesterday too...yippee.

Unfortunately when Sue & Ray tried to get it yesterday they were told no availability. I hope they open up more rooms so everyone can get it.

We'll be there Friday through Sunday. After looking at LCT today I figured I'd better get on the stick and make our hotel reservation. We got the birth year rate, so it worked out great.

We got the birthday rate as well, I had to call and they had to cancel our existing reservation and rebook us, but we did get it. Reservation agent on the phone was not very plesant about it either, but all is good now.

Tried once again for the birth rate and "bingo" == saved $70 from the "senior" rate.
