smiles OK so I am asking for some help here. smiles We have bought a home in Williamsburg and will be moving in the next couple of months. We are trying like crazy to sell our house here in No Virgina, lots of people thru, but only one offer that is just hanging out there because she needs to sell her house too. So.....

I don't think its right to ask for prayers, that should be reserved for serious matters, but I am wondering if our LCT friends could send a boat load of "positive thinking" thoughts our way that we find a buyer soon, or that the people that want our house will find a buyer soon. I know the power of the LCT positive thinking, so hoped it might help, as it has many times in the past. There is something special about it that seems to work for many things.

Frank and I truly would appreciate it and thank you all. thumbsup

smiles thanks Carolyn. Sorry we will miss you on GONDOLA, I am really really wishing we could go, a break from all this would be most welcome, not to mention spending time with people we love.

"Positive thinking" heading your way Frank & JoAnn! But, as Capt. Felice would say, 'it's not a boat, it's a ship' load of positive thinking!
Hugs too,

Kim - a "ship load" is even better. thumbsup you and Alice do it right!

Good luck to you, JoAnn! I sure can commiserate! No activity here for quite awhile. We're going to drop the price, pack our bags for Gondola and cross our fingers! I think there's still room for you and Frank!

Thanks Marcie. It was HOT HOT up until August here, and then it just went dead. Everyone thought it would pick up in Sept, so we jumped in, and then the Government shutdown hit, and in this area a lot of people work for the Government, and it just hasn't rebounded like everyone hoped. We keep hoping.

And hoping all this positve energy will help. smiles

JoAnn, in my area when I practiced and did RE settlements as my bread and butter, you always figured that the spring and summer months are the time to sell a single family home because families want to be settled in before school starts, and others before November 1. Then come the holidays. Then the second home condo's would sell best spring and in fall after the summer season to get the rents, or be able to occupy. Worked both ways. You two are in a unique area, yes, with all the government employees, you would think it would be ever changing, but for blips like the government shutdown. It always comes back someday, especially where you are!

I too, am sending you positive thoughts!

Thanks Olivia for your positive thoughts.

We maybe should have waited until Spring, that was the original plan, but then we found "our place" in Williamsburg and put a deposit down, it it supposed to be finished end of Nov, but I don't really believe that, they have had some construction and material delays, so we are negotiating for an extension, but that is why we went ahead instead of waiting, many people convinced us Fall would be a good time. Sigh.........
