Penny and I have had emergency medical flight insurance with MedJet for a number of years and this a.m. we renewed our family plan for 3 years. Since we are AARP members, family plan cost us $840 vs. advertised rate of $1,025 for a 3-year family plan. Because of my age, I could only renew for a maximum of 3 years as opposed to past 5 year renewals.

As information only.

Cheers! Ray & Penny

Jan contacted MedJet about a group plan, which they do,
a couple of years ago. Substantial savings. The premium could be added to the current health insurance group plan.
Problem was that everyone in the group would have to be added
and not everyone would have a use for it.
Now if a group let's say LCT wanted to set up there own group plan I think it was something that could be done.
Not the savings of a health plan add on but still better than individual pricing.
Course someone would need to be the plan administator which she does now
for her company.

Jim, Tom & I would be interested in being part of a group plan.

George and I have med jet through my AMA membership. But I may drop AMA as they don't really represent doctors anymore.

Rachel, you don't have to be a member of the AMA to get the discount. I dropped that years ago and still get the promos (and the solicitations to renew).

Edited: I am such a goofball. I got myself confused by 2 names of the same product - medjet assist.

Ours is due in December too but we were thinking about taking a time out, letting it expire and renewing it in the Fall before we fly to Istanbul. Has anyone else done that ?

Istanbul is the trip that reminded us about taking another
look at Medjet.
Jan will do some more checking.
