Captain, I have been continuously updating list on initial post; it is current. Marcie, thanks for taking it over.

Of course, not everyone has provided their names and some may have dropped off. Ngaire informed me that there are 80 of us on the cruise; about one eighth of the ship. :)

Actually, closer to 1 in 6 Marc, the Navigator only holds 490. A big group!

Hi all, got our reservation at Prime 7 but could not see how to get one in Signatures. Anyone know why ? Maybe I was too late ? But then I have always been a little late ! Thought that P-7 would fill up first.

Marcie do you have us listed twice on your list ?

We're in 729, but our friends Mike & Addy have a guarrantee - no suite assigned yet. How long before the cruise does that usually happen?

I'm pretty sure Ray will be on board . . I think Michael gets off in NY after the Canal trip. Ubaldo continues as Captain.

Elsa is the ACD - she started today in SFO. New JAR team arrived today as well.

A fair number of crew changes between now and Montreal - some in SFO, more in NYC and more again in Montreal.

OH OH a WHOOPS

We got that idea of the Mountie from a photograph in clip art and there were several images with that same flag. We knew it was not the Canadian flag but figured they used that flag. I will post one of those pictures from the office.

OR

Actually his name is Polanski. He always wanted to be a Canadian Mountie from the time he was a little boy and watched the cartoon DUDLEY DO RIGHT. His dream was realised when he immigrated to Canada and became a Canadian citizen. With his dashing good looks and Dudley Do Right attitude he was accepted and is now a hero of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. However he is proud of his heritage and therefore often carries the Polish Flag. He also has a pet moose!

Sounds like Dudly Do Right deserves to be immortalized on our pin, and Ngaire your reasoning makes perfect sense! ;) :app:

Ngaire has created the perfect character in Dudley Do Right. The pin makes me wish that I was sailing with all of you.

For those who are interested, the pennon (triangular flag) is used by the RCMP musical ride. The RCMP musical ride frequently asked questions provides the following information:

"Is there any significance to the pennon (triangular flag) being red and white?

The different regiments, i.e. the Polish Lancers, British light dragoons, etc., used the lance in battle. They had a pennon below the tip which served to absorb the blood, preventing it from running down the lance and making it slippery. The pennon of the North West Mounted Police (NWMP) on its March West was of British regulation pattern in red and white. The lances of the NWMP were never used at war.

Furthermore, on November 21st 1921, with the approval of King George V, a Canadian proclamation assigned red and white as the official colours of Canada. Consequently, on ceremonial occasions, we could hold no more appropriate colours aloft on our lances."

Peggy, do you know if Florian is staying on as F&B Manager? And Ngaire, Dudley Do Right works for me. Is his pet moose named Bullwinkle??
