Hmmmm.... We did this same LCT itinerary in reverse several years ago and really enjoyed it. Could tie it in with a few days in Italy afterwards....thinking thinking.

I wish I had a money tree, too. Did almost this same itinerary in 2004 with joannapv and marcie! And this time, even more of my favorite cruisers are aboard, dammit!

You all are in for a great itinerary!

That sure was a fun trip!!

For Tom's birthday (April 28) I surprised him and put together a fun vacation for us. We'll be on HAL Noordam in a Deluxe Verandah suite (501 sq. ft) for 14 days from FLL to Rome. We board April 28-disembark on May 14, will spend 1 week in Rome, then fly to NYC for 5 nights. I had everything in place and surprised him as an early birthday gift. He is thrilled!

BTW, I have return flights booked from LAX-Fll; Rome to JFK; JFK to LAX...ALL BUSINESS CLASS using combo of BA and AA flights (partner airlines) and booked it ALL using the BA miles we got when we got the BA Chase credit card promotion (we each got our own card but combined into 1 family account) 85,000 f.f. miles each and we NEVER once set foot on a BA flight. We still have over 250k f.f. miles left for a future trip. This was the BEST cc promotion ever !!

We cruised on HAL once before and enjoyed it very much...not Regent but neither is the price :) and with our suite we do get free laundry & dry cleaning which is nice. The timing and price worked best for us. Good that we also get the $300. SBC through AmEx Platinum too.

Marcie...Lars and I cruised to Barcelona from FLL on HAL in May in a suite with the same amenities....we loved the space, avoided the crowds and brought a case of wine with us. It's not Regent, but the price was right and we had a great trip.

We're now looking for a cruise to arrive in Europe next spring to spend the summer there.

Yeah, more fun traveling with Maria and Bob! If Ngaire takes the 7 day SS cruise in June, she will have most of this scouted out for us in August. Can anyone say "Glass factory?" Great!! :app:

Mitch, glad to see Bob and I didn't scare you! :) It'll be great to cruise together again.

I must say that the "glass" I'm most interested in is the one in shapes of bottles, with either wine, jerez(sherry) or porto(port wine) inside!

Just wanted to alert those of you going on WINES that Lee and her son Michael are right now on Voyager doing the same itinerary. Michael has been posting some amazing pictures of the ports under Seamail. Too bad we have to wait another 11 months for our cruise!

Mark and I are also on this cruise. If the wines group departs out of Southampton then do we fly into London? On the return from Monte Carlo do we fly out of Nice? Beth, I might be picking your brain on Dingo about the Wines itinerary.

Thx, y'all, would love to join you, but no B2B for me next year. Gotta save up the $$$ for ZODIAC!!

Cheron, You have the cities correct for the beginning and ending airports. Will be happy to sit down with you on DINGO for some brain pickin'.

Glad to see some additional LCTers on this cruise! Beth, I do understand , I would go for ZODIAC as well.

I know it's a bit early to start thinking about flights, but does anybody know what's the earliest we could book a flight out of Nice the morning of disembarkation( we are scheduled to arrive at 7AM)? Any of you planning to fly out the same day?

Hi Maria,

If you are making your own air reservations, you can usually book 11 months ahead of time. We will be flying out the same day, but Regent is doing our air. Rod

Got Biz class FF tickets to London on AA for this cruise. We got direct flights from DFW to LHR thank goodness. Soooo easy, do it all online and lots of availablity. I'll have to call while we're on TUT to get the return from Nice since AA uses BA from Nice to LHR and you have to call to get partner seats.
We're spending a few days in London before the cruise, but if you want to come in a day or so ahead, the time to get the Biz Class tickets on AA is tomorrow or Sat. Coach is available now and has been for about 10 days.

No, Maria, I think we'll just head home after the cruise. We've been to Nice/Monte Carlo several times.

Peggy,

Once you know please let me know what flight you are taking from Nice that day. We might also take British Air to Heathrow as there are a few flights we could connect from there to Newark in the afternoon. Maybe we could share a car to the airport in Nice.

We are really considering taking this cruise, Most of the ports are new, just trying to figure out if the timing works..
