Ngaire posted this a little while back: Just talked to someone at RSSC.
The mailing on December 28 will also have the number of nights they have on record for you including the ships and sailing dates. There will be forms in there to correct any errors you feel have been made on your nights and instructions on how to get that corrected.
There will also be a form to send in if you wish to correct the information for your mailing list.
They are sending out to society members who have sailed in the last five years.

This is not the first time that RSSC has given a date to expect something, only for it to not materialize at the time stated.
I guess we all have to wait. It will arrive when it will arrive.

Usually a mass mailing like that would be sent via a mailing house. the mailing house is given a mailing date or range of dates. They (RSSC) might have prepared the letters but then they go for mailing.
My guess is that they will come with the IRS 1040 packages that are being sent out to you. But I bet the IRS packages arrive first.

Tax extensions are allowable to October 15th for personal returns. Must send in before April 17th to request one. No more August 15th extension.
If you are out of the country on April 17th, you are granted additional time for filing, but, better to file the extension before you leave.

Today was a mixed day for us. We received our docs, but my accountant had me pay State taxes early this year to reduce our federal payment. Needless to say, I did not like writing that check. :(

Anthony - you are not alone! You can pre pay state and local taxes (postmark them by 12/31!) to reduce your Federal Tax. But try being the person who has to tell a bunch of people that they need to pay money this week...And we don't get any breaks either. We have to write those checks too!

I'm sure I'll be the last to get the letter, but you never know. As for taxes, our deadline is different too, and since we are both salaried and thus our returns are very simple, we both file online, sometime in late April. And since we both dump money into our RSPs (like your IRAs I think), we always get nice big refunds, which we promptly spend on travel!

I am working too! The way our holidays fell this year we have Monday, December 26 and Monday, January 2 off. Kathy's right, the retail workers are hard at work - I ran to South Coast Plaza at lunch and was surprised that the mall is still so crowded and busy.

I had to work today. Hotels are open 24/7. I had off last Mon. in observance of the Christmas holiday. I have off this coming Mon. in observance of New Year's Day. However, we have full coverage day and night.

No "skeletons" in Radisson's closet!!! I just checked their website to see if anything new was posted:
The Seven Seas Society began in 1993 with six repeat guests invited to cocktails in the Captain's quarters. Today, the Society numbers in excess of 90,000 active members throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Japan and Europe.
Isn't it sad...90,000 letters to mail, but not one word on the website - seems like they make it a little too hard for themselves! JMHO
