Maybe this was covered in a previous post and I missed it. Let's decide a dress code for this extravaganza. Since so many are going to Billy Bob's, "Country" (as opposed to Country Club Casual) would seem appropriate. Some might opt for "Elegant Country", just to be ahead of the curve for the 2010 Regent dress code. "Country Formal" anyone?

Take my advice--don't go to Billy Bobs dressed too "nice". Jeans and boots are the dress code there--but you can wear shoes if you have to ;) . You'll see lots of ten gallon hats there also.

Mitch, I don't think you will need to get gussied up! I would assume jeans will be what is most worn unless they change the name to William Roberts's ;)

I can't find our old white stetsons, so will we be able to get into Billy Bobs without them or will I have buy new ones? Also, are cowboy boots optional or manditory. We Northerners belive that Texas is totally casual. Jeans we have.
All kidding aside, I was also wondering about dress for Sat. at Ngaires....CCC sounds good to me.

Mitch: country formal = Texas Tuxedo
otherwise known as jeans and a jean jacket, boots are a given.

Well I am gad that some of you realized I was only having a little fun. I will check the closet for my rhinestone cowboy outfit. By the way, if you can feel the ship moving while on Ho-Down, back away from the bar!

Jeans for Billy Bobs, nice casual clothes for Saturday, no ties or jackets etc for men, shorts for my office visit, and casual for the Keg.
Now if I can just find that emerald green suede outfit that Cindy wore when she was in the Texas Rodeo Queen contest I could be the hit of the party!

You know what Ngaire, bet Cindy has it somewhere and will find it and you will look fabulous. In any case, find it or not, you will be the hit of the party.

Since no one else has asked, I will. Are "golf shirts" allowed? Tom.

They better be. Guess what I found in the closet....a farmer style (strawish) cowboy hat!!! Question now is...are they permissable after Labour Day? Will still keep looking for that darned white stetson in the basement.
