FOUR WEEKS today till we sail away!!!! Can you tell we're getting anxious?
A lttle surprised that so few are going and those who are are soooo quiet. There's more chatter about TUT and thats SIX Months away in October. That's a much larger group of fun folks.
Wish I knew what clothes to bring ...guess I'll wait till closer and do the weather forcast then decide.

Is anyone staying at the Hyatt Fishermans Wharf? Have no idea if its OK or not,but it's only for 1 night, hope someone else is....maybe we can meet for dinner on the Wharf....Does anyone know of a great Fish Restaurant where we can dine?

Carol and I are excited. Carol has been packing, as we are only home for one day from another trip when we leave for SF. Contary to normal practice we are arriving the day we board ship. Should be at the ship around 1pm.

We expect that it could be on the chilly side so are making sure we have some warm clothes with us. We did Alaska a few years ago in late September and it got fairly cold. So expect the same for late May as summer is just beginning.

Pat--

Polar Bears was colder. Just a little layering, except for the catamaran.

You will so love it.

As the time nears, we are also getting excited about this cruise.

Agree with Diane's recommendation that layering is best for Alaska. We did almost the same cruise two years ago on the Mariner and the weather was sunny and very warm. Two years earlier it rained a few days and got pretty chilly on those days. Since Ngaire & Ken are with us, we're sure we'll have beautiful weather.

Look forward to seeing everyone.

If anyone is taking the Mt. St. Helens tour, there is a show on PBS next week (Tuesday) on NOVA entitled Mt St Helens Back from the Dead

We are also arriving the day of the cruise - we are spending the day with local friends who hopefully will be able to come on board for lunch and/or a look around before we sail.

We're arriving the day before and staying at the Monaco in Union Square. We don't get in until around 7 PM.

Leslie, and others, who are taking the Mount St. Helens tour might be interested in the article on Mt. St. Helens in the May issue of National Geographic, also online at: http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/

Oh Rats, that great Embarcadaro webcam seems to be out of commission, I am trying to find another but so far, no luck! Hopefully I can find a ship in port with you that has a webcam
