Such great pictures of everyone and the animals. Andi, visiting Bonorong Wildlife Park in Hobart was one of our biggest highlights too...I even danced with a kangaroo! I wish everyone could see it, we could have stayed a week.

So happy that the ship is shipshape and food and service so good. Thanks to all for taking the time to bring us along!

Yay JoAnn! I always thought poppies were red but the ones they grow in Tasmania for the pharmaceutical industry are a blueish purple color.

Fantastic poem Mark. Anne and Gary you have another poet now in the LCT family to help compose your future masterpieces.

I could NEVER compose a poem like that and absolutely loved it. Thanks Mark!

Good one, Joanna!!!

We are enjoying another lovely sea day rocking in the Tasmin Sea. Had Pooch game, then lunch. Now relaxing in the cabin resting up for the Seven Seas Party tonight. Life is good on the Navigator.

Been a really calm crossing of the Tasman Sea. Just a swell but no white caps could not really be any better. The weather forecast for tomorrow for Milford is for SUNSHINE. Been to Milford many times and only once with sunshine.

Pooch has been going strong usually two tables but we are about to start many port days so the pooch days are coming to an end only one more sea day.

Close in Trivia usually just one point off the win. MAYBE one day we will hit the winning score.

Some of us head off the ship in the morning--and I do mean morning--for an overnight trip through the south island. Am excited to see the landscape in Lord of the Rings country.

Karen is correct. The weather is brisk and beautiful. We bid our farewells to Beth, Crystal and Lauri last night. They are leaving the ship for one night to see the interior portions of this area and will meet the ship tomorrow in Dunedin. I am somewhat jealous of their trip as I am sure it will be a wonderful experience.

We arrived at 6:30 am and turned around about 8:30-9am with a wonderful Sandra commentary.

Last night, the ship was rocking and rolling, though not uncomfortably. We just all looked like drunks unable to walk a straight line. Doug and I enjoyed Crystal's and Beth's company for both lunch and dinner, with Betty joining us at lunch and Bud and Sherri for dinner. I felt sorry for the poor comedian/juggler as it is hard to catch objects and balance on rough seas. The singer (C&W) is the hotel director's (?) wife and she was excellent.

Food and service levels continue their excellence. I have nothing but the highest regard for the job the Hotel Director and the F&B manager are doing. Nothing is too much for them.

It took me a couple of days to have a nail repaired at the Spa. It cost...aagh...$28 for ONE nail. I usually spend about $50, including tip, for all my nails. They only do acrylic...no gel. I will live. The spa has the prettiest views on the ship!!

Tonight we are eating with Sandra and Betty, so we expect a delightful evening. Tomorrow, we are eating with Debbie Tate's folks, who are as adorable as she is!

Well, off for a tough day reading and eating again today. They will have to roll me off the ship tomorrow! Happy Thanksgiving.

The kangaroos are dog like and so friendly. They love a good scratch. I really became fond of them! The koalas are so cute and we loved patting them, though they weren't too interactive? Thanks, Karen!

Beautiful morning in Milford today. One of the best I have ever seen. As we came around the bottom of New Zealand the sea got a little rougher and the clouds rolled in. You can see blue sky over the land but the clouds and winds are over the ocean. I think the Queenstown people will be having a nice day.

In Hobart we went to a delightful little town with lots and lots of flowers. I do get a little sensitive to flowers and almost immediately started sneezing and wheezing. It stayed with me for the next two days and I took some allergy drugs and I thought it would go away but this morning when I woke up I was really congested in the chest with a cough So I immediately went to ship’s doctor (who was really great) he is giving me some medicine and in particular eight breathing treatments over the next 2 1/1 days. After two treatments I am ALREADY getting better. I am just “hiding out” cancelled my dinner for tonight will eat in the cabin, told Fred I would be abandoning the trivia team and cancelled tomorrows tours. I do think this is just an allergic reaction it has happened to me before but I am not going to take any chances of infecting anyone so will lay low until it is far improved. If it is allergic reaction I think this will be gone pretty quickly. I really do not feel bad at all just wheezy and enjoyed a lazy afternoon watching movies, something I seldom do.

So lets hope after tomorrow I am okay again

Today is our Thanksgiving Day. It will be during dinner night.............so unlike last year when it occurred on a sea day. We had a "parade" and Thanksgiving buffet at lunch. Today the ship will be docked in a "Scottish" town called Dunedin. All the descriptions make it sound charming. So many tours there is no way to do it that way this year.
Sea has calmed down which is helping everyone walk in a little straighter line.
Happy Thanksgiving from the DINGOs in beautiful New Zealand. Safe travels to all and enjoy your family dinners. Second best is observing this holiday with our traveling family.

Happy Thanksgiving to all aboard the Navigator and of course to all other LCTers.

Ngaire - From one who suffers from allergies (the absolute worst being alcohol), if what you're suffering is an allergy, I hope it is strictly from New Zealand flowers. If it is a cold, hope you recover quickly.

Fabulous reporting Andi - keep up the good work.

To my Sydney Sisters - felt sad when I went past the Grace Hotel yesterday!

Little overcast today with a chance of some rain the normal weather the far south. Should be better as we move North up the N.Z. coast. Going to stay in today and tomorrow and not go on tours. Been to Dunedin and Christchurch numerous times so going to start some work on ROAR that needs to be done and watch movies and enjoy staying in. Probably a wise thing to do and avoid those gorgeous gardens in Christchurch.

Thanks for your your well wishes but honestly I feel really good. This must be allergies as I am recovering very quickly. It started immediately after exposure to some flower gardens and just got a little worse each day. Even after the first couple of treatments that are reducing the inflamation in the bronchial area I am a SO much better. Just want to be sure the cough is gone before I get around people just for their sake I would feel terrible if I infected someone though I sincerely do not think I am infectious. I really feel quite well not tired or any of the symptoms that come with a cold. I only cough when I talk a lot so you know keeping quiet is not my strong suit.

Allergies to pollens is something I never had until about the last seven years. Strange but I guess these can develop later in life. I could build up tolerance with those series of shots but they must be administered over a period of weeks and I am never home long enough. It does not happen that much and normally allergy medicine nips it in the bud but this time it just got to me more than usual. Just have to remember to avoid gardens with lots of flowers and trees. I have a tendency to enjoy this type of tour but have to be more diligent about not doing things that include those stops.

However, I feel pretty confident I can make trivia today and keep my dinner engagement tonight but if I am still coughing a little we can reschedule I have a free night at the end of the cruise.

Hope everyone has a great thanksgiving letting the girls off early and most are out of town so probably no fast email responses over the holidays.
