Oh boy , what a way to start the trip! A perfect 10 dinner with all 9 of us at one table. Lots of laughter and too much food and wine, what more could you ask for. We left port about a half hour late due to an small engineering problem which was quickly fixed. The Captain told us to prepare for high winds and rough seas but so far it hasnt been too bad at all. I am sure everyone will check in tomorrow to add more. I am so tired i cant think straight so tomorrow i will addmore details and figure out why my auto correct ist working on my tablet ;)

If you find out any information about staff changes in San Francisco, prior to Alaska, please let us know. I am curious if Franco will still be onboard, for example.

Have a great time, all of you!

We are almost to Grand Cayman and it looks like a pretty nice day weather wise. Last night was Compass Rose again with the Fun 9. According to Mark and several others, they had the best escargot that they ever had. I wasnt crazy about the entree choices so i asked for a filet and of course it was no problem.
Tom, Tony and I are the morning walking team, yesterday we did 16 laps which is about a mile and a half I think. For as much as i have been eating, i think we should doube that ;)

The ship is almost full but you wouldnt know it. There seems to be lots of austrailians and british on board so we are treatedto lovely accents everywhere we go. I spent some time with a lovely british woman last night ad thanked her for exporting Downton Abbey to us :)
i still cant figure out why my spell checker isnt working on my tablet, so please pardon my typos...if anyone has an andoid tablet, maybe you can throw some tips my way, lol. I did find the copy text feature so ican copy my posts and emails before i hit enter in case i lose the post. So far, i am not having a problem getting a signal , it is just as strong at the pool and in my room as it is when i am in the computer room. Uploading pix is a bit more tricky, i can upload to face book easier than i can to photobucket so i am still trying to successfully post pix here.
Todays excursion is a submarine ride for us and most of the rsdt are going to stingray city.
Cindy i am still trying to find Jan to give him you regards, from what i hear, he is stationed in galieos but we havnt been up ther as of yet. We never seem to make it past stars ;)
Thats it for now, itstime to eat more :)

I must say I ditto all of Karen's comments. Dinner in CR last night was wonderful. The cheesecake was yummy, as was the escargot and filet.

We did not book a tour for today in GC so I suppose we will just go ashore and do some shopping.

We have had 2 wonderful days and walking around Cayman, shortly - our dinners have been very good and plenty of Sambuca, Frank - having lots of fun. Booked a facial for later this afternoon - unfortunately nothing in boutique interests me (clothing) so guess it'll be jewelry and spa - what a problem!!! Crew is so helpful and Franco and Luis onboard well it doesn't get any better! I have some fun pixs will post if I can remember how to do it.

Oh, Marcie, you guys are bringing back such great memories for Mike and me. Please keep the pictures coming! That is George, holding the bottle of wine (on the left). He is the bartender who impressed me so much because he met Mike and me on the 2nd day of our cruise, and the next time I saw him was a week later. I was by myself, and the first words out of his mouth were, "Where is Mike?" Now THAT is a good memory (either that or we were really memorable for some reason  )!

We had a wonderful dinner in Prime 7 last night. We did have to take 2 tables, because P7 does not have a table for 9. They were side by side so it worked fine. I can't decide what my favorite part of the meal was. It was the crab legs....no, maybe the lobster.....no,no it was the filet. Oh well, it was all good. :)

We had some rough seas yesterday and last night, but the weather is beautiful today, though a bit Hot!

Great to read your seamail and see your pics, yes - everyone looks MISERABLE! You need more Sambuca!

You are bringing back some fine memories of our Nav cruise to Bermuda this past October. You must scope out all of our favorite bartenders - Jan and George who have already been mentioned, no surprise! :) And then there's Alan - Head Bartender; Elvis, who always rocks the house; Vasylyna, Eric, Jerel, Teran, Laura, and our VERY favorite: RONALD (from the Philippines) whom we have had the pleasure of cruising with several times.

Let us know if you run into any of them, and give them our regards! Above all, ENJOY and keep the seamail and pictures coming!

Hi all from the Sapphire Princess one day out from Hawaii. Weather last couple of days much warmer and less rocky. They do trivia two or three times a day, so we try to make it. Enjoying dinners with Peggy and Jerry and their friends and Dan and Linda, who are Jim and JanB's friends. Tonight Frank and I are going to the Steakhouse. We did Sabatini's first night and it was wonderful. Plan to go back again.

Looking forward to seeing land tomorrow and dinner on Friday with Masaki, Amaanda, John and Christina.

Sounds like the FUN3 cruise is going well, pictures are great. Notice you all have taken over the CANADA corner of Stars.

So how are you guys enjoying the Sapphire Princess? We would like to do a Hawaii cruise. Some years, Cunard does it, but not every year. Just wondering how you feel about the overall experience on Princess?

Hope you enjoyed meeting Dan & Linda JoAnn.
Does the Sapphire Princess still have
the Skywalker Lounge way up on top in the back of the ship? I thought I had heard it was being removed during the multi million dollar remodeling that just took place.

Hey all you FUN3ers! I have a big favor to ask. If you happen to hear anything, or know anything, about Suite 600, could you pass it along? Mike and I are booking it for a New England cruise next fall, and I'm hearing that it is really nice and big, but that the noise from the anchors and workers outside can be really bad. Plus, with the walkway right outside the window, apparently it isn't quite as much an "oceanview" as some would like. If you happen to hear anything about it while you're onboard, could you please let me know?

I'm loving the photos and the updates...please keep sending them!

Jim - yes they still have it and they do the Elite/Platinum cocktail event there every evening.

Cindy - we like it, second time on Sapphire for us and we think its a great ship and love the mini suites (well love the full ones too, but pricing was better for the mini). Lots of bars and lounges, and Crooner's is our hangout at the bar. Nice public areas, food is reasonable and staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

We are pulling into Puntarenas costa rico where Mark, Ralph and I are doing a sky walk in the canopy, even though I though I gave up excursions that were scary a few cruises ago ;)
The seas have been like glass for the last two days and the weather has been perfect. I think the only thing i can complain about on this cruise is that I am eating too much. That and I cant figure out how to use the gosh darn spell on my tablet! Posting pictures from my tablet is really slow so i think i will wait until i get home to post he bulk of them.
Well its time for breakfast, i will post tonight with an update of our hairy excursion

Tami, Some friends were in 600 when we were on a cruise with them and it is large. The anchor noise is a problem if you aren't an early riser - it is loud. Don't remember the view.

Thanks Jim. I personally would rather give up the space for a quieter cabin, but Mike seems dead set on booking this cabin...guess when I get really grumpy from lack of sleep he'll realize he made a mistake!!!

Tami, We are in 600 now. Larry really likes the extra room. There are 2 actual rooms that you can close the drape if someone wants to sleep in. And we have 2 tvs which is good for us, since we rarely watch the same things. LOL It is noisy, but we are early risers anyway, so we do not care. I do sometimes miss the balcony, but in reality I guess we do not use a balcony that much.

Thank you Betty...that makes me feel better. On our last cruise, we really didn't use the balcony much, and since our next one will be in a colder climate, I'm guessing we'd use it even less. Have you found the workers on the walkway outside are annoying, or are they just not there that much? As for the noise, it will be a good wake up call for me to get up and get my butt to the gym!!!
