Tom and I, along with our friends Mike & Donna, are sailing on Coral Princess in Alaska. We embarked this past Saturday. Our room category is called a Mini Suite, but it is comparable to a suite on Regent with the balcony being a tad larger as it easily fits 4 chairs and a small table. We have 2 TV's, full size couch and arm chair in living room area. The bath is not as lush as Regent with marble counter tops, but the tub is full size (shower head in tub). Plenty of storage for all our things.
We chose the Anytime Dining for dinner and it works out very nicely. The food has been very good to excellent and the service has been the same.
Sunday we were at Hubbard Glacier and yesterday we sailed Glacier Bay National Park for a good 8 hours. One hour we were parked in front of a glacier - absolutely fabulous! The weather has been sunny and warm.
Today we are in Skagway and at 10 a.m. the temp is 64! We are doing the town on our own since last time we took the White Pass train and didn't see much of the town.
The ship holds about 1900 guests, but it is large enough that we have never felt like there were just too many people around.
More later...

Sue - have been reading your little posts on Facebook. We have always enjoyed Princess and last fall we sailed to Mexico with two other couples and found our Mini Suites to be quite spacious and comfortable. We spent a lot of time between our three balconies. Found the food quite good and enjoyable. Glad you are having such a good time.

We had a wonderful day in Skagway; walked all around town and did a bit of shopping. Lunch at our favorite spot "The Fish Company" just down from the ship near the RV park.
We found a lovely little waterfall off the beaten path in the woods just by the railroad tracks. Walked up there and took a few pics - it was so pretty.
Temp today was 75!!! We came back to the ship and went in the pool and hot tub for an hour and then sat out sunbathing. Now we are back in our suite and it is raining.
Tomorrow we dock in Juneau; Tom and Mike go on a helicopter glacier trek while us gals go view Mendenhall and then off for some Alaskan cooking class and beer tasting (I dont even like beer but will drink it for the good of mankind)!

Sue, I think I have been to that same waterfall in Skagway when I was there with my kids. Did you have to walk through a "graveyard" to get to it? Just lovely. Oh my that 75 is perfect weather! I think someone said last week that rain was coming your way. I hope it blows itself into another direction!

A bit overcast in Juneau, but the sun is making it's way out. They said it should be about 70 today.
Olivia; this waterfall was by the RV park that is located just a block down from where we were docked and right on the train tracks.

What a wonderful day in Juneau! Tom and Mike did a glacier trek and are speechless as to how amazing it was. The pics Tom took (and the guide took with our camera) are beyond words! They were able to go inside a tunnel and the colors of blue in there are so gorgeous! Donna and I did the Taste of Juneau; we went to Chez Alaska cooking school where the chef cooked two dishes for us; one a pasta with rockfish and the other was grilled salmon and a salad. Next we went to Mendenhall Glacier Park - how beautiful and ended up at a local bar for a beer tasting. By this time the guys located us and were invited to join the beer tasting of 6 locally made brews. The guys enjoyed it. Donna and I had a halibut taco while we were there and it was so delicious.
Tomorrow is Ketchikan - will out luck continue to hold out with no rain????
