Hello LCT friends! Decided to start a new thread. We are onboard Navigator and so far all is wonderful. Kristin and Greg left her in tip top shape for us!

We are having some pretty good swells as well, so we are a rockin' and a rollin' - made for good sleeping last night! Fortunately we don't suffer from sea sickness (knock on wood). Captain said we had a "black out" last night around 4:00am, but needless to say, we slept thru it!

We are so excited to be seeing many familiar faces amoung the crew, many who we sailed with on our South America adventure - Gilbert (head waitor) and Jan (bartender from Czech republic)are a couple of them. Also have already met some great new ones - Armando (head waitor) took great care of us last night and our waitor was Alberto, who I think Kristin mentioned. It was a great evening, but both of us are moving a little slow this morning - I had one too many Irish whiskeys after dinner!

Great to hear from you, Cindy, and we are already missing Jan's cocktail creations. Ask him to make you a "Jan-ocktail" if you are adventurous! ;)

I think that tropical system "Sean" is why we had all the motion. We've NEVER been seasick, so it came as a complete surprise to us. Crew were sick as well. A lot of glasses were broken and bottles of booze as well. (Hate it when that happens, LOL!)

I am finally now getting the meclizine out of my system - it just made me so tired!

I do hope the seas calm down for you and I am pretty sure they will as you continue south away from Sean. Hope you report in often!

Good luck for smoother seas. Will look forward to your reports.
I dreamt that I was on a ship the other night during one of our earthquakes. Just felt the sea rolling then woke up and realized I was at home.

Rachel, that is exactly the way I felt when my one and only earthquake in my life hit home.... like I was on the ship! Except like you, it wasn't a dream.

Just checking in! The seas have definitely calmed down. Yesterday we were Grand Turk. We didn't have an excursion, and since we had been there a couple of times before, we just enjoyed staying on the ship for the day. Today we are in San Juan. No excursion here either so just took a walk around old town. It's pretty hot and steamy!

Service and food has been stellar, as usual. Regent just has the greatest crew - we love them!

We were parked right next to the Navigator in San Juan on the Silver Spirit 11 Nov. It looked as if the ship was nearly empty; saw very few folks on board even at 1800.

Hi all. Sorry I dropped the ball on sea mail, but I had laptop problems and was too lazy to go to the computer room!

David and I got home late last night. It was a great cruise as usual, but we really missed the Voyager. We had been on Navigator several times before, but the last time was in 2005. We just don't like the ship as much as the Voyager or Mariner, but the crew, service and food was outstanding! The refurbished Stars Lounge was definitely the best spot! But the pool bar is just too small! And we were so happy to see the familiar faces among the crew.

We turned Platinum on this cruise, so really enjoyed our new perks and all the little "special amenities". I don't think there were too many Gold/Platinum/Titanium - only about 20 showed up for the Caviar reception.

I'll close out this Sea Mail thread as I know we will all be following the SPLASH thread. Here are a few more pictures...

BTW Doug - Navigator was actually overbooked for this cruise (we turned down an offer to switch to the following one). We were docked in San Juan from 1:00pm to 9:00pm so I think there were a lot of folks off the ship later in the day.

Thanks for the seamail Cindy and the pictures you both look great. On Canada we loved the Stars lounge too.

Ahh! Jan, Jerel and George - all our favorites. Great pics, Cindy! I agree that the pool bar is too small now. I don't feel like it used to be that way before? Maybe it's just because I'm becoming bigger, that things appear smaller? LOL

I'd love to hear more - will you be writing a review? We had some problems and I don't think we'll be on Navigator again. I would love to hear your and David's take when you get the chance.

Kristin - I hadn't planned to do a review. We had a few minor issues, but mostly our reason for not planning a return to the Navigator right now is we just aren't that crazy about the ship. I know some folks love it, and it all bowls down to personal preferences - to each his own!
I'll send you a PM with more info.
