Still pondering choices for 9/06. The Cloud goes from Copenhagen to Stockholm for 7 days. The Whisper departs the same day from Copenhagen and goes to Amsterdam for 9 days. The price is only slightly higher. The second itinerary includes Rostock and transits through the Kiel canal omitting Stockholm. It also includes 3 sea days(rather than 1). Thanks to all of you experienced cruisers for any advice! Julie in Denver

I for one love sea days, and so I'm biased, especially if pricing is the same. Plus, the Whisper is a much newer ship, and slightly larger than the Cloud. Kiel canal is a very relaxing passage, and we did it on our Baltics cruise as well.

I agree with Olivia. I would do the Whisper hands down!!! Newer ship with much larger cabins. Also because the ship is larger, with not that many more passengers, you have a much larger space to passenger ratio. Also love the relaxing sea days. We are going on the Whisper in 4 more weeks in the Caribbean. We chose this itinerary because that it has two sea days at the end of the cruise, and we will come home very relaxed.

That being said we have booked the Cloud for our Med cruise in April. It is because we could not find a comparable cruise on the Whisper.

We are booked for the Whisper 9/06/06 cabin 521. Just waiting until next week when we can book the air using miles(United Miles-Star Alliance flights). This should be a wonderful way to celebrate my 50th birthday!
