JoAnn (cruisinfanatic) posted something somewhere about these sandals. I ordered some last week and they just arrived - I LOVE THEM! :app:

For anyone that hates to wear shoes, but likes variety this is the clear cut thing!

Tom will kill me when he sees I am going to order another pair. :D

I justed looked these up on the web. What a great concept! Are they comfortable? Thanks for sharing.

Hi Miriam! I bought the Leisure Soft Step and as soon as I slipped it on my foot it felt so comfortable. :)

I was really a bit skeptical when I ordered them, but they are great! I can't wait to wear them for more than just the few minutes I had them on to try each new top.

I bought the Cafe color and now want to get black...just trying to decide should I go with the same sole or go for the Elegance Soft Step (I prefer lower heel shoes vs. high heels).

Sue, I am fascinated. What is the bottom made of....is it flexible or stiff? And how and where do you connect the tops? They sound great, but they don't tell you much about how they are constucted. Could you fill me in?

The website is www.onesole.com (I hope I am not breaking a board rule posting this)

Maybe JoAnn can help me out because my sandals just arrived last night. The tops have 2 snaps on each side that snap on to the sides of the sole - you can't even notice it when you have them on.

On the bottom of the sole it says "Assembled in the USA with imported all manmade materials". The type I have are a bit flexible and have a soft cushion feel.

I just noticed they do sell them in specialty shops in the U.S. (one is even in my city - I have to go check that out)! ;)

Jumping in here, per Sue's request.

I found them in Fairhope AL last year and bought the cork wedge, top was black, then I got to pick two more. Got home and ordered some more tops and a lower sole, and more tops. They are great, and the lower soles I think would be comfortable for touring. The wedges are also comfortable, but I use them more in the evening with casual skirts and such.

They will even do custom tops for you, you can send in a photo for instance of your dog, and they will make a top with his/her picture on it. They have fun tops, strappy tops, glittery tops, really fun stuff.

thank you for the info. I had studied the web site and thought the low heeled sounded great, as well as the custom tops.

Pat has had one soles for over a year and has used them on all 3 cruises since then. It's a great way to have one shoe with a variety of tops to match the outfits and they take a lot less suitcase room. If you wear a narrow size, you might have to go down a size or 1/2 so you don't slide out the front.

I went to a dog show today and they had a vendor there that was selling them with handpainted tops she created for various dog breeds. They are quite nice. I'd have bought a pair but they did not have my size - or my breed!

Sue - I have two soles and about 12 tops. Problem is that I have my favorite tops and keep wearing the same ones!

Can't wait to see yours.

JoAnn you will see them on CROSS - you will probably be saying to yourself "is that all she wears is the same pair of sandals"! :p

I hate to be a party pooper but Smiley Central has long been considered spyware :(

You can read up on it here in this forum.

Karen thanks for the FYI re: Smiley Central. To be honest I have no idea how it even got installed on my Outlook (but then I am a computer dummy). I read the link you posted and followed the directions to uninstall it! ;)

editing to say: JoAnn I apologize for not realizing the smiley I sent you the other day was not so nice!

Oh nooooooo! I am so challenged when it comes to this neat stuff you'all do, that I was so excited to find something I could actually work with. Aaaaahhhhhhhgggggg!

Karen - have I messed up LCT by using these cute thingies? I hope not, I would feel so bad.

Now I have to decide what I want to do about uninstalling it, because I really do find it user friendly, but I don't want to mess up my computer, much less sites I use like LCT.

LOL JoAnn, you won't mess up LCT by using the smileys!! The only thing that might happen is that it will track what sites you visit and report back to whoever. If you read that link I gave earlier, it appears that Smiley Central is hard to remove from your pc and they give steps on how to do it. It is NOT a virus and you won't hurt anyone by using the smileys!

Thanks Karen. Will take a long look at it.

Sue - I LOVED your smiley, thats why I downloaded it, and I have had so much fun with them. Don't apologize, as I said above, I am so challenged by all these neat graphics that Karen, and Betty and all those others do that I was so happy to find something I could actually work with. Otherwise the only thing I can use, is the LCT instant graemlins. I have no cluse has to how to find all those cute graphics. :mecry: :mecry: :mecry:

I just checked the "one soles" website and Tucson has a store that carries them. I can't wait to go shopping. I tried to describe them to Alan, he didn't get it. Guess I'll have to buy an example to show him :D .

Well I ran my "computer checkup" and my spyware scan runs several times a day, and neither of those have said I have any issues, so I may use them until an issue occurs.

Donna - have fun, the only problem I have found in the stores is that they will have a limited supply of tops - I ordered most of mine from the website.

On a whim the other day I emailed OneSole to ask if they by chance would design a top with a cruise ship on it for me using the crystals.

Well, this morning they called and said it is not a problem and I will have my cruise ship top before CROSS!!!

If anyone else would like to order the cruise ship top the lady said to call the company or send a email.

OK, I took my OneSoles shopping excursion yesterday and am reporting back.

Cost in store - same as website but of course less variety of tops.

I have narrow feet but the "medium" top worked well on a size 8 shoe. It was very comfortable and it held my foot in. I usually can't wear backless shoes but these worked fine.

I tried on the casual low heel and also the traveler (the one with slightly higher heel/dressier look.) I liked the second one best. They had the cork sole and also the black wedge but I did not try on those on.

The soles are sturdy. I even thought the traveler, especially, had a bit of a bulky feel to it - not enough to keep me from buying it - just an observation.

Bottom line - The shoes work well even for skinny feet and offers stability for those who might need that. You can't beat the versatility.

I will probably buy the soles in the store then order tops from the web site.

The only problem I can see is that it is tempting to buy several sole styles which sort of defeats the purpose of traveling light!

Glad you had a good shopping trip Donna. I agree, I have two soles, and am tempted to buy at least one other, but as you said, it sort of defeats the purpose - although they do pack more compactly when you don't have any tops on.

At least you just slide out of them. I usually wind up tripping and bruising some part of my body. um, this is Arlene, not Gil.

Add me to the list of Onesolers. Just bought the black wedge clog-type today. Looking forward to finding all those cute tops to go with them.

Sue, have your cruise ship tops arrived yet? Would love to see a pic of them.

Question for all you onesole owners. Do they have any type of arch support built into the sole?
I have very high arches.

Beth; I received the cruise ship tops and they are really neat! I will have a pic taken while on CROSS and post it - until then they are TOP SECRET! ;)

While in the Atlanta airport in Concourse D I ran across a shoe store that had a display of OneSoles - not many tops to choose from, but I thought that was quite neat to see them at the airport.
