Ah yes, the first not-to-miss show of the new television season.

Watched my recording from last night - if you love tv and are interested in the behind the scenes action, put this one on season pass. If you missed it you can watch the pilot on nbc.com.

Taped it, Andrea. I can't wait to watch it. If it's half as good as West Wing, I'll be a loyal fan.

Andrea, how was it on a scale from 1 to 10? I meant to tape it and forgot.

Karen, I really liked it. I'd rate it an 8 or a 9. Great story line, really held my interest. I couldn't wait to fast forward through the commercials to get to the next segment.

Denise & Dena, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Andrea and all,
Well coming from someone that watches literally zero TV, I LOVED it. I was a big West Wing Fan (heh Denise) and it did not disapoint. Really quality show. Karen tune in, you will like it!!

I am so glad you guys aren't giving anything away. I need to see this show!

Can anyone tell me what the big deal is about "The New Adventures of Old Christine?" I've watched this show, because I love Julia Louis Dreyfus. Yet, I don't find the show funny. Must be me! After all, she won an Emmy!

One of the many reasons I like you, Cindy. West Wing!!!

I just finished watching Boston Legal tonight for the first time. It was very very amusing! Now I have to watch this show, since you girls liked it so well.

Denise, I'm trained to try and keep episodes quiet until after the West Coast and Hawaii LCTers have watched. It's truly a test of my patience!

Todd, that's so cool! Talk about an inside scoop!

Thanks for testing your patience, once again, Andrea. I watched the tape last night. WINNER!!!!!!!

Not giving anything away. But, loved seeing Judd Hirsch and Ed Asner, two very fine actors!

Hi Todd! Good to see you! How great that Mikey is Location Manager! Please ask Mikey to lead the cast down O.C. way! Then, of course, let me know who, what, where and when!

I did as Denise- had taped it-- it was on too late for me. And shall have to tape it from now on.
I looks like it is based on SNL? Who else would agree?
I like the two main charters and I noticed that the redhead from West Wing were on the show. Timothy B.
Todd- that is cool that Mikey works for the show.

I can't wait to get home and watch it. You have peaked my interest. I was a devotee of West Wing.
Karen, as Todd has connections, my friend is the Assistant Director on Boston Legal.
Jan, did you realized that Timothy Busfield is also an executive producer of Without a Trace?

Isn't Tina Fey part of this show? I think it's supposed to be a SNL take-off.

Hi Masaki,

It is a take-off on SNL - behind the scenes.

Who is Tina Fey?

Tina Fey was a writer and "news anchor" for SNL. I think she is writing for this show, too?

Tina Fey will be writing and starring in "30 Rock", premiering on NBC on October 11th. A brief synopsis:

"Welcome to the set of The Girlie Show, a fictional television show that serves as the backdrop to Tina Fey's new workplace comedy. Liz Lemon (Fey) is The Girlie Show's head writer and is being pushed to the edge of reason by the show's two stars and a demanding network honcho. In order for Liz to keep her job, and her sanity, she has to balance the egos, the mandates and the neuroses while maintaining The Girlie Show laughs. It won't be easy! In this bold, star-studded comedy, anything can happen!"

Thanks for the link to pilot of Studio 60. Missed recording it ( so many new shows and returning favorites I need two DVD recorders or going to hookup a VCR and record some the old way) I f I can't see what happens at the beginning, I sometimes give up the show. I think Studio 60 will be on my list to watch. I am kind of neglecting Dancing w/ the Stars also.
But can't miss Greys Anatomy tonight. ( Juggling recap episode first with Survivor) and then just Greys. ( I am becoming as bad as Joe on channel surfing !~) I am going to become Attention Deficit, if this keeps up!

I don't follow any of the TV shows discussed here but I am a fanatical follower of Grey's and House. Both Grey's were great last night. I hope Meredith does NOT go back with McDreamy. Finn is much better.

Gray's was, in a word, fantastic. I was sort of put off last season with whole Izzie/Denny scenario, but felt last night's episode was a very strong season opener.

My internet provider at home is down (unbelievable, I know  ) so I caught up on some new shows I had recorded earlier in the week. I really enjoyed both of them - Smith with Ray Liotta and Kidnapped with Timothy Hutton. Both of them seem to have an interesting back story that will unfold over the season.

Another cute show I started watching last week is Men in Trees with Anne Heche. She plays a life/love coach who finds out her fiance is cheating on her while she's on her way to a seminar in Alaska. She decides to stay in this very small town - where there is a total of 3 women until she shows up. A raccoon follows her around town, which I thought was hilarious. How do you shake a raccoon? Besides, it's about Alaska - how can you not love it? :D

We also have been watching Men in Trees. Greys and Boston Legal and Amazing Race are my not to be missed and Joe watches the Unit, House, and Two and a Half Men,as well. ( of course flipping them with Football games) We have also been watching Til Death on Fox for comedy.

I did and I can't say I liked it? The only amusing part for me was the White Stripes skit. I think it needed much more humor injected and what's up with the sepia toned filming format?
