Asheville is a winter wonderland. We are lucky we have power and heat so we are enjoying it.

We got around 19" yesterday. Its sunny today, so maybe the plows can get down our street and we might be able to get out for awhile this afternoon, then again maybe not. Its beautiful, but will be a mess in about three days.

After a beautiful snowfall and seeing it covering the ground, there's nothing uglier than dirty snow. :(

We got "ONLY" about 12". Some parts of Long Island had over 2 feet! I HATE this stuff! It's not only cars that get stuck in this stuff. I went into my backyard this AM & aw this boat stuck in the ice: ![[Linked Image]](http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a365/gwesq/BoatInIce72.jpg) And this Duck was in our pond - maybe trying to escape the snow ![[Linked Image]](http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a365/gwesq/BirdInFlight72.jpg)

I'm glad for once that the South and East got more than the north. We, thankfully, only got only 6 inches! Pretty pics, Gil. Glad we're leaving for Arizona!

Great pix, Gil. They make me long for snow on Christmas Eve but I am not holding my breath. It's supposed to be in the 70's on Wednesday so unless a huge cold front comes through, we will be unwhite.

we got about 12 inches or so Boston and over 18 inches for Cape Cod and the Islands.. Snow Plowed all day yesterday... Now I truly understand why people move to Florida... Global Warming? Not around here.. We are freezing to Death...
At least we will have a white X-Mas though...

Thanks for the comments.
Karen - I would GLADLY send every flake of snow down your way. Sure do HATE that stuff!
We have a place in Fla for the month of February - Feb can't get here soon enough.
