Anyone else started watching this mini-series on HBO? Who is the actor playing Dickinson, and why does he look so familiar?

Yesterday was one of the first times in a long time that I wished we subscribed to HBO. I've been reading John Adams by David McCullough and I'm sure I'd really enjoy watching the mini-series. I hope it comes out in DVD later this year.

I looked on imdb, too, Andrea and didn't see the character's name.

I searched the show on Yahoo and found it!! His name is Zeljko Ivanek and he played Ray Fisk on Damages - a fabulous show, might I add. I can't believe they don't have him listed on IMDB.

I am loving this series, and I hated history in my student days! Also available on HBO on demand is the first season of The Tudors. Unfortunately it is on Showtime, and HBO only makes last season available.

Thanks, Andrea. I'd checked IMBD and couldn't find the character listed. Now, I'm still trying to figure out where I know him from, as I've never seen Damages. He, like many others in the cast, is superb.

Crystal, he's been in a bunch of shows - if you click the link it will show his Filmography. He was in Season 2 of '24', played the governor in 'Oz' and was also on 'Homicide: Life on the Street'. I know how frustrating it is though to see someone and not remember what show or movie you know them from!

'Damages' was on FX last year - Glenn Close plays a lawyer. It's out on DVD - I highly recommend it.

It is a favorite book of mine, McCullough's biography of John Adams. And now, it is an absolute pleasure to watch this HBO series. So well done!
