I have been meaning to give Masaki a gentle "ahem" nudge. Marika has to be in high school by now (slight overstatement, I know), and we only have pictures through 9 months.

I have a TON of pictures but haven't gotten around to uploading them yet :( They're still on the camera - not even transferred to the computer. I promise I will work on it though - maybe even do PhotoShow for this? :)

She is so cute!
My daughter celebrated her birthday last weekend as well. It's a whole lot different when they're eight and have sleepovers. I think I got about 2 hours of sleep that night, but it was fun.

Hi Masaki ,Amanda and of course Marika.
Well Christina & I were at the party and it was great to see the whole family. Masaki & Amanda are very gracious hosts and put on quite a party.Since we did not know anyone there except them, they put us at their table with the grandparents. It was truly wonderful to meet them. Marika is just a little doll. The clown was very talented & entertaining to both adults & children alike.

Oops, I seem to be a week late with my birthday wishes. Many happy returns, Marika! She continues to grow into a living doll. Looks like a good time was had by all. What a fun way to share celebrations with friends and family on the web. PhotoShow looks to have some great features.

Like Beth and Margo I was late for the party. (It's been a busy week around here.) Marika is a little doll and the PhotoShow was a nice way for all of us to be a part of the action. Wow, a balloon man clown for birthday #1. I'm guessing those were mainly young cousins that were enjoying his creations along with Marika. And did I see two cakes? I'll guess they were as good as they looked.

She IS walking. Just 2 wks ago, she was very unsteady and pretty much needed to hang onto us to walk any distance. Now, she pushes our hands aside and insists on trying to walk herself. Funny stubborn little girl that she is .. :)

I seem to have missed this thread before, so happy belated birthday to Marika. She is beautiful. Thanks for sharing her birthday party with us. My mom says hi - she's still waiting for grandchildren - and is not at all happy that my brother and sister-in-law seemed to have postponed this longed for event by adopting a stray kitten!
