Well, it looks like we have our Summer 08 cruise booked. :app: We will be back on the Voyager with these ports: embark in Monte Carlo, Malaga, Cadiz, Lisbon, Bilbao, Le Verdon (new port for us), St. Peter Port (another new port), Honfleur, and disembark in Dover with 2 sea days. It is a Le Cordon Bleu® Circle of Interest cruise, but unsure if we will take part in this.
Going will be mom, brother, SIL, sis, soon-to-be new BIL and me. Anyone else booked?

Similar to our WAVe Cruise last year. Honfleur was just wonderful - that whole itinerary is a winner. Congrats Beth!

Thanks, Kathy. Are you home from your O cruise? Yes, Honfleur is a lovely port. We particularly liked the Eugène-Boudin Museum. Looks like I will be waving bye-bye to the B2Bers as they get off.

Regent ran a shuttle from the port into town. We walked around the little port, had a great lunch at a cafe on the waterfront. Just the beautiful little waterfront was enough. The area is charming.

Such a lovely itinerary! We did the CDB, and loved it. They didn't have the Circle of Interest thingy then, just a Spotlight on Food and Wine (loved that too.)
Le Verdon sur Mer is just the port of Bordeaux, near the mouth of the river. Perhaps this means that they are not going up the river to Bordeaux. But it also opens up more touring possibilities in France I guess. Bordeaux was my favourite port on this itinerary.

Thanks, Wendy, This is also a Spotlight on Food and Wine cruise, so we are hoping for good wine sipping activities on board. We have been to Bordeaux twice, on the Song and the Navigator. It is such a great port to walk around when docking right in town. I guess the Voyager is just a bit too large to get down the Garrone.

We just did a similar itinerary on the Voyager in June and loved it! On our cruise we did make it all the way up the Garrone and docked right in Bordeaux.

That's interesting. I wonder what the draw to Le Verdon is?

Maybe it's timing. The opportunity to arrive and depart up the Garonne are very limited because it's a tidal estuary. Perhaps they will offer the same kinds of excursions, but you won't be able to step off the ship and be in Bordeaux. But who knows, maybe Le Verdon is really pretty!

We just don't seem to take the same cruises as other LCTers. <img border="0" alt="[bang]" title="" src="graemlins/banghead.gif" />
