Amanda,

I truly appreciate your expression of condolences.

It's my belief that positive thoughts bring positive energy into your life. So many of my LCT friends have provided me with their positive energy, via beautiful posts, emails and phone calls, and cards.

An emotional setback on Friday, as a very close friend passed away due to advancing Parkinson's disease.

Looking forward to happier times ahead.

Thank you so much.

You're all so wonderful. The kindness that has been expressed over the last few weeks has been astounding and so comforting to me. What would we all do without others holding us up at the most difficult of times in our lives? Connecting with loving and caring people sustain me. I am so thankful and grateful.

This has been such a trying time for me. Just when I think I've rounded the bend, there comes another emotional blow. Trying hard to stay strong.

I've been in constant contact with my dear friend, Dolores, who lost her husband, Norm. So hard to visit with her and her daughter right now, as Dolores' head is in a spin trying to tie up so many things. But, hopefully we will see them very soon. She is like a big sister to me and I love her so much.

Norm passed away from Parkinson's disease. Today, Alan and I made a donation in Norm's memory, to the Parkinson's Center at Eisenhower, in Palm Desert, CA, where they reside. So much research yet to be done to combat and eradicate this dreaded disease. I pray that within our lifetime a cure can be found for Parkinson's, as well as so many other catastrophic diseases.

Thank you, sweet Joanna.

We went to a wedding Sat. night, despite the fact that the last place I wanted to be was at a wedding. Alan insisted, as the bride was the daughter of our very good friends. It was a blessing that we went. So good to have a brighter evening, sharing in the joy of a beautiful wedding celebration, and laughing with friends.

Thanks for your kind words, Kathy. Wecome back. Hope you had a wonderful time on your cruise.

Dear Denise,
I'm sorry for the loss of your friend and that you are going through such trying times. Dolores is lucky to have your strong friendship to lean upon.

I hope these dark days are soon over. That DC trip must be looking good to you right now.

Hang in there. I'll be thinking about you.

Thanks so very much, Donna and Joanna. I am beginning to feel as if this on-going grief is such a focal point. Trying hard to loose this devastating streak we've been on. I keep looking up to the heavens asking if I've reached my quota yet. Holding onto my sense of humor, because if that goes, I'm a gonner.

Another saving grace has been the banter on LCT. It makes me so happy to post and loose myself when focusing on the various topics being discussed.

Yes, Donna, you just don't know how much I'm looking forward to that D.C. trip next month. So many people that I've been longing to meet and several that are "old" friends that I'm so eager to see once again. We'll also be visiting with my cousins, who are almost my last living relatives, outside of my immediate family (sad, but true). They live in Silver Spring, MD. Sept. 29 can't come soon enough.

Your attitude is amazing and your spirit is keeping you strong. I think we'll all agree that you've had your share, and then some, of emotional hardship. Keep hanging on to that sense of humor!

Joanna,

That show has been on for at least two years now. We've been watching that very show again for over a week now. Never tire of Doo Wop.

Wait till Little Anthony and The Imperials come on. He sounds fantastic. Shimmy, Shimmy Ko Ko Bop, Shimmy, Shimmy Bop.

BTW, my very dearest friend, Ginny's, cousin was a Token.

Again and again and again. Long live Doo Wop.

Jay Black and Lou Christie sound great, too. Still can hit the high notes. Cara Mia!
