On Sunday night's episode, the last couple did not have their money taken away, but instead they were told that they must finish first the following leg or have to wait out 30 minutes from when ever they finish. Is this a new penalty for last place finishers on non-elimination legs or was it just this once. Judith

I think this is the new penalty - you know how they like to change things around to keep us interested!

Tonight's episode...how many incorrect ways can the teams pronounce Mauritius? Hilarious!

Not a big devotee and tuned in late tonight, BUT I totally missed Peter and Sarah (she with the prosthetic leg) being eliminated! Did that occur last week?

I'm sad when I see teams that feel so "entitled" and mean. Everyone was very tense in last night episode - and some not very nice. Guess that makes for better television.

Kathy, yes, Peter and Sarah were eliminated last week.

I was very surprised at the ending - how often does that happen? I'm interested to see what happens at the new Intersection next week.

Okay- I was off today for election day. I watched The View- not a fan since Rosie came on but they had the couple that just got kicked off of Amazing Race from Kentucky.
The show gave them cruises, new suv, money for his equipment for being a coal miner. And a new house to be built for them. Oh- and week long trips for them and their kids to several locations around the US. I thought it was very nice for ABC to give the couple of these things since the show is on CBS. :)

Just wanted to keep the board updated on the AE outside of the Sunday night timeframe which keeps on being delayed because of football and then running into Desperate Housewives.

Jan, that is very nice of the view! I really liked them, I am glad that the show might make their lives a little easier.

As for football running late, that stinks!!

That is really neat, Jan! I liked that couple, too. I think competing on TAR was a wonderful experience for them and definitely life-changing.

Re: Football - it never runs into prime time on the West Coast - that is one thing we definitely like here over living back in Florida! We have breakfast over the college games, our Wisconsin Badgers usually start at 9:00am here!

Thanks, Jan, for posting that information about what ABC did for the Kentucky couple. I have great respect for the brothers who helped them get as far as they did in the Amazing Race. Thanks to the experience of being on AR and that boost from The View, that family has a chance to experience some of what so many of us take for granted.

Oh I am so happy to read this wonderful thing that ABC did for that KY couple. They had hearts of gold and would never do anything to hurt anyone else on the other teams.

I really hope this gives them the assistance they truly needed as well as the trips bring them more happy times together.

No, Jan.
The Barbies came in last, but it was a non-elimination.

Jan...non-elimination last night. The beauty queens came in last, so they are marked for elimination.

Thanks- still trying to unpack from the Crown Princess. When we were in St. Thomas on Friday--guess who was docked at Havensight? It was- The Navigator. It was the only ship docked at the pier- it looked so alone.
Princess moved over to Crown Bay (the old sub base) and Havensight is not happy over the move.
