I'll admit it!! I know they're sweet, but I can't resist those Cadbury eggs.
Of course there is always the jelly beans. What is your favorite Easter candy? If you don't have one, what is your favorite candy?

This is a non-calorie thread. :)

I have a hard time deciding; either peep chicks or peep bunnies. Then, of course, you have to decide on the colour.

Love chocolate matzo and chocolate raspberry twists, which are yummy Passover goodies.

Anyone out there a Peep person? I'm very partial to purple Peeps. I do love jelly beans, too!

Chocolate covered Macaroons are good too.

When we were kids, Mom was asleep Easter Morning and there were no baskets. We (My brother and I) helped ourselves to her wallet and went to the corner grocery and bought the clear tubes filled with Chocolate eggs and had a plastic bunny head on them.

When Mom woke up, she found us eating our chocolate in front of Sunday Morning Cartoons. We were very happy campers. That was when it was explained to us that Jewish kids didn't get Easter Baskets. We were 6 and 7.

We also learned not to go in Mom's wallet without permission <img border="0" alt="[c]" title="" src="graemlins/c.gif" />

Marc, I hate those things! Ladies from some local group do things here...home made coconut chocolate covered eggs which I love, and also butter creams, this year they added a Mint coconut, that was so good, too! When kids were little, whatever was at Hallmark and the other mega stores was good!

Joanna,

You've been hanging with the Bubbies. Chocolate Macaroons are the Passover equivalent of an Mounds Bar!

I have 3 pre teens for week starting this Sunday so instead of doing baskets I stuffed big colorful bags with some candy (one is not allowed to eat it lucky me) fake nails, nail polish (purple, green and blue) thank you notes (my grandmotherly duty to teach them the importance of those notes) sugarless gum, nighties, gift certificates from Target and Blockbusters, and $10 each to be spent on disposable cameras!! Wish me luck and energy!!

Joanna,

Last summer had the girls for a week and we had the time of our lives. We made a fancy dinner -Root Beer in Wine Glasses and Jewelery from Mardi Gras (Those Shiny Beads) and classical music (Beethoven's Fifth) And we laughed and laughed.

Make great memories! They last forever!

Joanna - once again, we are so perfectly sympatico. The black jelly bellies leave me cold. The rest? Bring 'em on (especially the popcorn flavor).

Cheers, Anne

Doris

chocolate covered matzo and chocolate covered marshmallows are the goodies of choice during passover in this house, but we also sneek some yellow peeps into the mix :app:

I was just about to write...anything but those horrid peeps...who eats those anyway?? hahaha...then I read that Marc liked them!! Sorry Marc! :D Different strokes....it sure would be a boring world if everyone liked the same stuff.

I do have to say, even though it isn't specific to Easter, I love dark chocolate...I think it must have to do with spending my childhood in Europe. People in the States don't seem to like dark chocolate as much. My favorite treat growing up was melting that yummy dark chocolate to make hot fudge sundaes with dad.

Okay, now I am having cravings!! :D
