I can only echo what everyone else here has said. I wish you strength in this difficult time. Know your words have touched me, and I will as much as possible live them.

and as said, sometimes having the opportunity to just come on and chat helps even temporarily.

To Joanna, Maggie and anyone else, if you ever need to talk about "cancer" please feel free to e-mail me, I'm a cancer survivor and I have no problem talking about it and giving support anyway I can.

Maggie, I pray for you and your husband and your family to have the courage and strength to go through this terrible time.

I can't believe the responses from all of you. I'm really overwhelmed with gratitude at your kindness. I cried all the way through them!
My husband will be continuing chemo. The doctor has given me the prognosis and my husband has not asked. He needs to have hope and does right now so we will continue.
You have lifted my spirits and I thank you so much. I'll definitely be back to chat about happier things as neither of us has lost our sense of humor...the attraction when we first met!

Maggie: Not asking, you know, is form of denial - believe me when I go to Mayo (they all know my personality by now) don't bother me with the long discussions - did I pass or fail - Pass??? I am out of here - nice to know all of you doctors - do not bother telling me I am low on freon - who needs it???? Everyone needs hope - it is the fuel for our souls -

You have been in my thoughts constantly since last night.
I am so happy to hear that your husband is keeping his sense of humor.
Please keep us informed. You have a lot of people here that really do care.

Maggie - just keep those positive feelings/vibes/sense of humor coming - you just never know!
Many years ago my younger sister was diagnosed with a brain tumor - they basically gave her 6 months - she managed 4 years - and they were difficult sometimes, but for the most part they were wonderful years with her - not to hijack your issue in any way - but you just never know. I think it is so wonderful that your husband has hope - every single day is precious, and again, just remember there are many, many, many, of us out there for you both -- aahhh you've already seen that. Its amazing isn't it? Been there, done that, been amazed at the support here, been the recipent of that - its your time now, and we are all there for you, whenever, whatever you need - we are there for you!!
Love and thoughts and prayers for you both every single day!

Dearest Maggie,
I don't think I can add much more than our lovely family here at LCT has said, but since I am going through much the same as you are with my sweet hubby, I share your pain, and fear of ( the travel bug we have had for all the years we have shared together).. It is hard to know if you are right to just go and enjoy or not , and we are faced with the same dilema.. although we are going to France in October and that's that!
So darling, while I can't help you with what is right for you ( as none of us can) we are all here for you.
God bless you both!
