Sounds great, Tom! See you at 3:00!

Anyone interested in the Holocaust Museum before we go to tour with Tom? I plan on ordering tix sometime today or tomorrow for the earliest entrance at 11:00AM.

Our D.C. weekend - ONE WEEK AWAY! I've been tracking the weather, which looks to be excellent!

I'm contemplating joining this get-together. The shuttle isn't priced too badly and the Sofitel looks pretty good too. Plus, a chance to meet new friends and see my old ones - very tempting!

If we haven't maxed out the RSVP list, we have 2 friends who would love to join us. They were on the Ngaire's Dover to Monte Carlo cruise with us in August www.worldflyer.net/cruise2006

If we're already maxed out, it's OK also.

Looking forward to meeting everyone next week.

Tom has arranged our restaurant reservation, hopefully with some additional, good seats still available!

Our D.C. gathering is turning into quite the LCT event!

The area we have reserved can sit a maximum of 22 people. If Andrea's husband amd John's two friends come that will bring us to 22.

However, 18 is the maximum they can seat at one table so we will have two tables of 11. I think that should work out fine. If we sat everyone at one large table the folks at one end wouldn't be able to talk to the folks at the other end anyway.

I'll have to give the restaurant a number by the end of the week.

Also, is everyone who wants to go to ABC going at 3pm? Is there anyone who wants to go at 2pm? Thanks. Tom.

Sounds like you are going to have a fantastic time.

Maybe we can do part 2 next spring? I'm planning on spending Spring Break in DC next March 9-17.

Tom- the 3:00 time is okay with us. Carole, Barb and Jan.
We are going to try and check in early and hope that at least one room is ready to go.
We shall be coming via cabs.

Am I the only one who thinks it is strange that an LCT gathering of this caliber does not have its own name? At this point it is too late for a poll, so I am going to go out on a limb and just suggest "Denise's Party"

We can't wait to see everyone again and meet all those we haven't been able to actually meet in person!

When I was reading my way through the many pages of this thread, I thought the name was 701@7? Denise's Party works too!

Jan,

If your rooms aren't ready when you check in, the bell desk can hold your luggage until your rooms are ready. They will then take your luggage to your rooms for you while you're out.

Arlene,

I'm flattered that you want to name this event "Denise's Party!" I had initially suggested 701@7. I think there may have been one or two other suggestions, that I don't recall right now. Anything works as long as we all have a great time together!

I know, but 701@7 never seemed to catch on! Denise's Party is SO MUCH more descriptive! Sorry if I offended anyone. I didn't mean to cause a problem

Hi Arlene,

I agree with Joanna. You could never cause a problem! None of the names suggested stuck and we didn't continue with giving it a name.

Regardless of what our D.C. gathering is called, it will be fantastic!

Tom:

I'll be toting my camera around DC this Sat. and was wondering if photos can be taken while on the tour of the ABC News Room and if not, will there be somewhere to check cameras during the tour.

Thanks!

Cheers! Ray

Just got my hotel via Priceline. Hyatt Regency, 400 New jersey Ave., Capitol Hill/Convention Center area as price was not acceptable "downtown". Now will have to see how that location relates to activity sites.

Arriving Thur., Sept. 28 and departing Sun., Oct. 1. Also hope to see Civil War Site Antietam.

See ya all soon.

Cheers! Ray & Penny
