How very sad and how awful...please know that my heart is saddened and I pray that you find the silver lining to this dark cloud that is in your lives right now.

Dear Susan and Russell,
It was good to hear your voice, Susan, just a while ago. As I told you on the phone, we have had house guests and have not checked into LCT for days. What a devastation ! There are truly words to expres our feelings for your loss. We know, however, that you are both strong and resolute and that you will rebuild. It has been a terrible weather picture everywhere it seems. Our state suffred 22 tornadoes and 14 deaths. We feel blessed to have escaped destruction by just a few miles. We send love, hugs and prayers. Rod and Cynthia

Sorry - that is what I get for not having on my glasses. There are of course NO words to express our feelings. Rod

Thanks to everyone for the comments, emails and text messages.
We spent the weekend coming up with the insurance list, for those of you who have done this you know that it is a lot of work. Three hours at the grocery stone alone writing down prices and trying to remember what we had there.
Russ and I will go inspect the remains on Friday and meet the insurance adjustor.
The entire lake will be closed till maybe Memorial Day. 168 homes destroyed.
Anyway thanks again.

Hang in there Susan and Russ, I know its difficult and probably depressing among other feelings, but most importantly you two are safe and things will fall into place, slowly I'm sure, but it sounds like you already are moving forward.
See you the 7th with lots of hugs.
JoAnn

168 Homes! Just unimaginable. Susan, were a lot of these primary homes?
