Did it dawn on any but me?

Her audience/receiptients were Katrina relief workers. Great gesture, but......
A Burberry coat & a pair of Ugs? How often did she or her producers think that any of these workers that live in the hurricane areas would be able to wear these items? And these people have to pay tax of this! Guess she has never been to NO or the gulf area during the winter.

You can SAY THAT AGAIN, Betty!! I'm rolling off my chair reading this. I recall perspiring 8 pounds OFF during that emotional time at the Astrodome..... the heat was so intense! I know there are a few days of cold weather in Houston, but, mercy! A Burberry coat & Uggs? Sorry I missed the show....I need a good laugh as I go through "food withdrawals" from disembarking the Voyager yesterday...... - Michele

I think I need to go out and purchase my Ugg boots right now since the low for tonight will be 50 degrees!!!!

Nice gesture but no ones thinking....

Sorry I missed the show, it's beyond my comprehension. But then again, when I go to the Opera and the temperature is below 70 degrees, you would not believe all the mink and fur coats that show up.

The watch was really nice.. the popcorn looked yummy ( at $170 a can should be )..
no one did say that the Katrina relief workers were all from down south.. many came froom other states to help...so maybe some are from NY where that coat may come in handy along with the uggs.. :D

They can always put the "unusables" on ebay to cover the $ due for taxes.

Garretts popcorn is a Chicago institution. It is on Michigan avenue and does have the greatest caramel corn you have ever tasted. But I don't believe that is anywhere near the cost if you go into the store. People line up and wait for up to an hour to buy their products. From the time they open until closing it is a mad house. I believe they have been in business for at least 50 years.

Fisher's Popcorn www.fisherspopcorn.com is the institution here since 1937. It is the best caramel corn! Every time I sent it to the kids in school it vanished in minutes! Not nearly as expensive as Garretts.

Just noticed the Kashwere robes are now on EBay. They are below the retail price, but the sellers are still "very proud" and people are bidding on them. No bargains yet.
