Puppy is just too too adorable!! I really like all the suggestions, but Einstein is great. Only problem is, how do you shorten the name? 'Here Einie, come Einie'. Doesn't quite do it for me.

I wanted to name my dog Doodle, until I realized what the shortened version would be :eek:

Is it a girl? How about Goldilocks ;)

You guys are WAAAY too funny!!! I am loving all these suggestions. We came up with a few, too (Mookie, Wonton, Jordy, Tobey, Kobe...). I have an ongoing list!

He's obviously a purebred. Show dogs usually have a formal name. Sometimes you can play off of that. What's the name of the dog's kennel? It would be in your paperwork.

I like both Einstein and Spike; he just looks more like a Spike to me.

You could name him Einstein and call him Stein for short!

I like Einstein...but I still think he looks like Andy Worhol. Another thought..he kind of has a lion's mane..How about Linus? I like Denise's suggestion.

Sorry to check out for awhile there, things got really hectic at work! (Don't you hate it when WORK gets in the way of your quality LCT time and trying to name your dog?! ;) )

He is doing great this morning, explored the entire house from top to bottom. He's settling in very well, and the others seem to be welcoming him nicely.

He loves the crate and sleeps there by himself beside our bed (until he is housebroken, at which time he will definitely sleep with us along with the other "kids"!). He doesn't cry or whimper at all - he seems very mature for a puppy.

We're taking our time with the name...getting ideas from friends, family, etc. I love all of your suggestions!!!

Remember those working days Kristin - always wondering what was going on at LCT - Tony asked me one time "do any of those people on "that board" have jobs??? How can you have a "real" job and post 24/7?" Can you tell he is on LCT overload??

:) :) Joanna, in my opinion (and yours too I am sure) there is no such thing as LCT overload! You can tell that to Tony, but then he would probably never want to meet me. And I do want to meet you two someday!!!!!!!

Think we're in same camp(s) He loves all of my LCT friends he has met - Marcie, Suzanne, Olivia, Carla, Karen, Betty... and he'll love you too - sort of his LCT GF's ... he walks every morning and hooks up with bunch of old PV bags (age 70 plus) they all gossip so I ask every morning when he returns..."what did your walking ho's say today?"

I LOVE his name - very cute!

If your dogs are anything like mine, they have more than one name depending on my mood, their mood and behavior and who is calling them.

Daisy frequently is called Miss Pish (time to go out again)- roo roo (her bark sounds like Roo Roo)- day-day (Baby talk time)and Vulture (dinner time) and Toto if she is working. Gizmo is frequently called Mr. Handsome and it's usually when he's on his back waiting for his tummy rubs with his tail wagging.

Kathy, we are the same way, each dog has about 3-6 names which we call them depending on the situation. Funny you should mention Roo Roo, because that's what we call our youngest Italian greyhound (whose actual name is Bango). His barks sound like "roo-roo", like your Daisy! He also hops around like a kangaroo.

I don't know what we ever did before we got our babies - they are so much fun! And I am allergic to them, so I must REALLY be head over heels!
