Husband is flying into DFW tonight for a conference in Ft. Worth. Hope he is smart enough not to drive into water. Raining all day here in Tulsa too, but no floods yet.

We had over 6 inches of rain in our backyard, our rain gauge overflowed. Fortunately we live on top of a hill (one of the few in Fort Worth ;) ) , so no flooding problems--just a really soggy lawn. The sun started to come out about an hour ago, so I guess Hermine has decided to move on.

Not too bad in DFW. Austin got 10-12 inches of rain. We probably got 6 or so. It's really soggy and there is standing water so be aware of that. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my commute home is not a repeat of this morning's.

The weather guy just said 15 inches in some parts of Dallas. I know we had rain for 2 days straight and we didn't get that much. You all must really be swamped!!!

I just was out running errands, and things are beginning to dry out in our area of DFW.
Too bad I didn't get around to planting some fall flowers before this rain. Who knows when we'll see the wet stuff again!

Things have gone from bad to worse in Dallas. Tornados on the ground by downtown Dallas at I 35 headed toward Love Field and University Park, Ken. (6PM local time ). Watching it live on TV from my lake house.
Hope everyone stays safe.

I just got to play dodge the tornado on the way home. Not really my idea of a nice commute. Hermine has completely worn out her welcome.
