Your posts are wonderful - the longer the better - Joanna

It looks like I don't have to worry about my spelling, after all!

Spelling doesn\'t matter

Karen - the website in general is awesome! I've found someplace else to whittle away the hours.

Let's not forget the often used "irregardless"!

I am laughing out loud at this thread!

Ginny - Here is a doozy: "Irregardless of what you and her plan to do, me and him are going to the movies." Enough to give you the heebie-jeebies, isn't it? The tragic thing is that I didn't make it up; I heard it at my office! And this was a conversation among degreed marketing people!! I just hope that they use grammar-check when they send in expensive advertising text. Frankly, I think that I learned better grammar in my one-room/eight-grade school house (very Norman Rockwell) than most kids learn today in their campus-style schools. Lordy, I am becoming such a codger.... Cheers, Fred

Freddie: I think you are right - the campus style schools (private) cost mucho $$$$ and offer much less than expected - most kids in this town attend private everything school - I really believe their parents, who are making lots of money (but come from "ordinary families"),want the kids to have "all" they did not have - a typical for me is to look at an envelope that should say suite #112 - how about sweet #112 - from the private school kids??? Fred,

That certainly is a doozy! I learned just the basics of grammar in public grade school. When I was in 9th grade, on the newspaper editorial staff, the teacher was shocked at how bad everyone's grammar and sentence structuring was. (Now, did I put the apostrophe in the correct place there?) He took the whole month of September to teach us sentence structure by making us diagram sentences with rulers and pens! (Just like my girlfriend had to do in Catholic grade school.) It really helped me understand sentence structure much better, but I still have lots of grammar pitfalls.

I still don't know if I am bringing my luggage on a cruise, or taking my luggage on a cruise!

Speaking of pet peeves, does anyone else get a little annoyed at people who leave their shopping carts at the end of each aisle at the grocery store, while they walk down the aisle to shop? (Rather than pushing the cart down the aisle with them?) Everyone else has to maneuver around their carts as if their cart is "special".

I am thinking of ways to send them a message. I thought of taking one or two items out of their cart when they are not looking. They will get home thinking they have everything they need, but, alas, that one important item will be missing! Aha! Gotcha! Any other good ideas?

Editing to let you know that my evil twin posted this!!

My biggest pet peeve is the use of "myself", as in I myself think such and such... drives me crazy!
