It does appear that the majority of people who are having problems are on AOL, which just might be a coincidence. Here is a suggestion as to what might be our problem from the help board but I am hoping that since we just upgraded our server that there might be another problem other than what Ian suggested.

Some members are reporting that after they add a reply that they are timing out and the are instructed to refresh. When they do so, they are getting double posts.

Your site just feels slow, takes a while to download a page, and it takes a while before it even starts sending me the page.
Apparently, the server you run it too slow, and their browser gives up cause it takes so long. The browser tells them to refresh, which resubmits the post. Since it took a while before the browser gave up, there's little chance floodcheck would pick up on this.
The only real solution is to get a faster server
Maybe I will have John take a look around and see what he thinks.
