I do not know. I have broadband cable, AOL, and a rather powerful CPU. I don't have this problem on other boards and forums, such as the Mercedes Club or S2000 Club (though the latter is "under construction"). I will however note that the last two mentioned boards WILL allow me to delete a post of my own for any reason --- including "it just don't sound right."
