Duvet hint....we use two twin duvet, no top sheet on our king, "his" and "hers"....keeps everyone happy - kick it off, or snuggle under. Either way I'm convinced it is the best solution, wish I'd thought of it a long time ago. Yes, the washing and replacing is a pain, but it's not as hard with twin size, and they make lightweight duvets - found ours at Ikea!
And yes, easy making the bed in the morning!!!
