Darbies,

We will have a six hour difference, during daylight savings. We'll be stopping over in LA, which helps a bit. Then we have 2 days in Tahiti before the cruise. I find that it works in my favour very nicely--you are up at the crack of dawn, literally, so you get to see the sunrise. The days are shorter in the tropics, sunset about 6 p.m., and then it's completely dark. It's really nice prowling around the ship at sunrise--it's cool, and beautiful. Doesn't do much for our nightlife, of course, but with dinner stretching on sometimes til 10, that's good enough for me, I'm not a nightclub kind of person.

I do try to encourage my husband to stay up a little later the week before--he's a really early riser normally, and it's harder for him.

As always, it's coming back east that's the kicker--it took me a full week to recover from jetlag last time.
