I hope I do this right. I have never posted on a message board. Are yoke or DIN adapters used on the tanks? I would like to bring my own reg, which has a yoke adapter.

I am almost positive it is yoke. When are you sailing? I can email one of the divemasters on the Paul Gauguin but it normally takes a day or so for him to respond.

We are sailing June 4, booked w/ Linda at Brown and Keene. Yes Susan I would love know which one they use. No point in hauling all that gear if I won't be able to use it.

I dove with the Paul Gauguin two years ago and they use yoke adapters just as we do here.

Hey Lisa - welcome to the board! Post often!

The equipment provided is better than you would thing.
I brought mask, flippers & wetsuit & was very pleased.

The dives are not all that challenging, but amazing nonetheless for the beauty.
& the dive masters were A+++

Do sign up for the dives as early as you can, they do sell out.

They do only 1 tank dive per day... the price is about (as I recall) the same as a 2 tank dive in the Carib or Coz. But that 30 or 40 minutes is truly a blessing....ENJOY!

oh, I've just been "observing". Don't have any cruises planned which has me in a bit of a funk. The 2006 trip to Alaska does intrigue me though...

I was just diving in November and a single tank dive is $80 on the ship. Sometimes it is possible to go out the same day on another single tank if you like. If you want two tank dives you will need to go with a land operator. I dove with two different shops and it was about $140 for a two tank. I just like the convenience of diving with the ship off zodiacs and the specialized attention.
