Since MINT is almost over and PIP a few months away - any thought to what the next great adventure will be? Something over Thanksgiving 2005? How about over Halloween? Or the Voyager Transatlantic from Funchal to FLL, 13 November? Think of all that togetherness - 7 nights at sea!! No worrying about getting up early-for-that-pesky-excursion-you-signed-up-for-but-didn't-really-want-to-do-but-everyone-else-was-so-oh-well-I'll-do-it-anyway-but-I-don't-really-want-to--so-let's-party-all-nigh t-tonight...

Phil, I would have to say the 007 Voyager Rome to Monte Carlo Oct. 15th cruise would be in that catagory! We have a great group of people going already!

I saw an escorted trip on the B&K site, Singapore to Sydney in late October '05 on the Mariner. This one looks really interesting to me, and the price seems right. And LOTS of sea days, which I'm NOT getting on my upcoming Voyager Med cruise (12 ports in 11 days!!). Anyone going on that?

Phil,
Alan and I are on that cruise. But, we are joining the Voyager starting in Athens on Oct. 30. We figure the Transatlantic portion will be our chance to rest up from the rest of the cruise. Well, maybe. Come join us!

Well, how about a "cruises I would like to do" thread.

I can't think beyond PIP. It is still six months away, and I am anavowed FP junkie.

And quite frankly, I don't think I am truly an avid cruiser. Loved the Diamond this last summer, but want to do land trips too.

I can imagine doing cruises to:

- Panama Canal
- Alaska
- South East Asia
- South America
- perhaps the Med (did the Black Sea last time)
- Norwegian Fjords

But I don't think we'll be doing any extravagant trips after PIP, for quite a while. Got to start thinking about that retirement fund!

We are going on land after PIP on a two week Tauck of Italy. Next cruise will be 2006 - thinking about Baltics, but, maybe Med. Will probably do an open booking on PIP so we can decide by end of 2005. We are limited as to when we can go by tax season and other tax deadlines. So for us, May, June, part of Aug, Part of Sept, and November are good travel times for us. Maybe Baltics in June 2006

We have Hong Kong to Singapore on Mariner in Oct 05. We will miss Ngaire and gang as we will be debarking as they arrive.

With ROAR in 2006, the vacation time and bank account will be decimated. Therefore, we probably won't cruise again until the long circle Caribbean cruise over Christmas 2006/New Years 2007.

Phil,

If you're interested in the Baltics, there are several of us sailing on BRAVO - the Voyager, August 6th!

I'd really like to encourage and invite all LCTers to join us, as it looks to be a great cruise, escorted by Ngaire and Ken!

My bride and I are on the Oct '05 Singapore to Sydney jaunt, also escorted by Ngaire and Ken. Looks like an interesting itinerary, with a good mix of port and sea days. We've been to both ends of that segment, but only to Cannes in between, so it looks really good to us.

Next, we're signed up to leave the ship in Sydney for two weeks, touring Australia and New Zealand on our own before re-joining the Mariner in Auckland to cruise back to Los Angeles. That one has a lot of sea days, however, including six days in a row on the final stretch into LA, so we may forgo it. The lady worries I'll get too fat with all that time to eat and no interest in the workout facilities. And she's right!

By the way, we have it on very solid authority that 30% of the Mariner's cabins will be "upgraded" [IMHO] to walk-in showers during the ship’s lay-up next month, so those will be available if you book early enough. NO MORE CROCHING TO SHOWER! Hip! Hip! Hurray!

[size=8]Too Many To List - 416 days & counting on Radisson/Regent, and 150+ days on 8 other lines, with one cruise booked next month on the Mariner, Miami to Honolulu 22 days
