Hi Fred
Unfortunately I won't be going from Sydney to Auckland in November this year but if I can help you with 'what to do' while here, please let me know.
Marcie would be ideal to ask what she enjoyed most in the time she had here.

(I moved this here from the general board and edited it slightly.)
Hi Fred (and Lee) -
Yes, we are on the cruise. It will also be our first trip "down under." We land in Sydney late on November 4. We depart from Auckland the evening of November 23. Last weekend, we started looking at possible excursions to sign up for during the cruise, based on guidebooks, the Radisson descriptions, and write-ups that Ngaire has done in the past on New Zealand. No pricing is available yet on the excursions, but a lot of them seem intriguing.
We have not planned any of our time in Sydney yet, other than that we will probably be staying at the Sydney Harbour Marriott. Among other things, Linda is trying to determine whether Radisson excursions will be available during the day on the 7th before boarding.

OOPS!!! Just spoke with Radisson and there are no excursions planned for that day in Sydney, the ship boards starting at 12 in the afternoon, officially. They will have excursions for the 8th as the ship leaves that evening from Sydney. So we are all on our own for the 7th. I hear just walking around everywhere is fabulous. Dreps email me I have a great 3 day link for what to do.

Hi - I am new to this board although I have been reading posts for some time.
We will also be on the Sydney-Auckland cruise and first time "down under". Arriving in Sydney on November 6 (staying at the Harbour Marriott)and touring on our own in NZ for a few days after the cruise.

OK....... My wife and I will be at the Marriott Harbor in Sydney on the 4 Nov. Seems like a lot of you are staying there... good choice. I found a small tour company that takes less than 20 on tours of Canberra on the 6th and The Blue Mts on the 5th.. less than 100 bucks each and all day.
Working on a Helo charter in Christchurch to Mt cook.... 6 hours of flying in a 5 pax Astar-350 that can land next to the ship in port..... have room for 3.... cost is 1400 @ this includes lunch and lots of mountaintop landings and seeing 3x as much as the ships tour. Let me know/.
We are going the 34 days to LA...... :pass:
