Just curious...

We are booked for our Athens-Istanbul cruise on 14 August. When we looked at the website to get an idea of whether the ship is fully booked or not, we saw that some categories are listed as "Closed" while other categories are listed as "Wait Listed." What's the difference?

Either way...sounds like a full ship...which if the Navigator is like what we've experienced with the PG or Voyager...we'd never notice anyway...idle questions in anticipation to another fabulous cruise.

I don't know the answer for sure, but I'm going to guess that the "closed" notation means the wait list for that category is as big as they are willing to allow it to be.

My guess is that "closed" means someone in a charter group has it booked. Sorry Jan - only guessing. I looked at the cruise myself due to 0% single supplement and went-forget it. I'm rationalizing that it's much too hot in that part of world in August anyway.

I'm with Pam's explanation for this one, and it's more than a "guess". Med. cruises having been filling with all the good offers they have put out there.
