ok. You won't believe this. I'm on a 4 night Carnival 6/28. NYC, sea day, St. John, Sea day, NYC.
I need to be on the water before the penguins and the Drake Passage 12/10, since I am hyperventilating over the Drake. If I don't do this, it will be 18 months between my 5/09 crossing and the Antarctic
Regent is 100% s supp for a little jaunt, and with NYC as the base, this will be an inexpensive long weekend.
But Carnival--all those people
I did sign up for late dinner seating, as opposed to open seating, since will be on my own and I may meet people that way.
I am a bit iffy about this, but to be on the water....

OH go for it Diane - what a great getaway!!! Enjoy and NO need to explain - I am still hoping some Regent scheduler (for lack of better word) will reduce those SS fares :( :mad:

Howdy my fellow LCT'ers!! A dear cousin of mine absolutely needs a break, DH too ill to travel now...so I'm going with her on a quick 7 day trip - after all this last minute checking (many thanks to Julie for her awesome help) we settled on the Avalon Waterways r/t to Paris - Paris to Normandy beaches (Ray and Penny are doing this one later this year). June 7 to the 15 :D
Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends ~~M. Angelou~~
