Prestige Cruise Holdings, the parent company of Regent, has initiated a poll on the Regent CC board regarding whether to maintain Formal nights or go to Elegant Casual (or a combination). The thread is entitled "The Chairman of RSSC Wants to Know....".
Who knows how much weight Frank del Rio and company will give to the poll results; but it's worth casting a vote, if one is concerned about the matter.
For us, Elegant Casual all the time is the clear preference, as it makes luggage issues dramatically easier (and lighter).
Cheers, Fred

I wonder why the poll isn't posted here ?? ....I rarely go to cc so I'm happy you told us Fred. There's a lot of experienced Regent cruisers here on LCT !! I'm with you...Elegant Casual!

Fred, Thanks a load for bring that to our attention. I vote for Elegant Casual. While formal can be nice so can Elegant Casual and it makes the luggage and weight issue so much easier.

Marcie - I absolutely agree with you that LCT probably has as many or more active Regent posters than CC does. I tried to find out the email address for the guy at Prestige who posted the poll to suggest that he post the same poll over here on LCT but couldn't find an address for him on his profile. In any event, most LCTers are also CCers, even if not active on that board. I just hope that everyone votes, in order to give Frank del Rio an idea of what his "vocal" clientele prefers.
(And, of course, I hope that the vote is for Elegant Casual.)
Cheers, Fred

Something I think is intersting is how close the numbers on both boards are (in terms of percentages). I realize the 132 voters on LCT may be among the 353 voters on CC. Yet the biggest difference is in the "1 or 2 formal nights" on a longer cruise category. Greg
